Summary

Description

A U.S. Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4G Phantom II "Wild Weasel" aircraft from the 561st Tactical Fighter Squadron, 35th Tactical Fighter Wing, Tactical Air Command (tail code "WW"), and the 81st Tactical Fighter Squadron, 52nd Tactical Fighter Wing, U.S. Air Force Europe ("SP"), fly over a pier on the coast of Bahrain during operation "Desert Shield". The aircraft are armed with AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles.

Note: The date given "1 April 1992" has to be incorrect as "Desert Shield" ran from August 1990 to January 1991. The 561st TFS returned to the US in March 1991.
