Statistics
The persecution of Falun Gong in China is staggering in its scope, and practitioners in every corner of the country have been affected. On a daily basis they continue to face the threat of arrest, torture, and death. Because China is so vast and because the Chinese Communist Party seeks to exercise ironclad control over all communications between China and the rest of the world, it is very difficult for practitioners to relay news of the persecution to the outside world. Through the efforts of practitioners both inside and outside of China, however, many, many accounts of persecution have made their way outside the confines of that country and been seen by a wider audience. The following articles, compilations of different statistics about the persecution in China, give a sense of the scope and severity of the situation.
