 Wikipedia Takes Mumbai is a scavenger hunt for free content photography in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This Photowalk is inspired by Wiki Loves Monuments; an international photo contest focused on monuments. The aim of the contest is to ask the general public—readers and users of Wikipedia, photographers, hobbyists, etc.—to take pictures of cultural heritage monuments (or "heritage sites", depending on the local name) and upload them to Wikimedia Commons for use on Wikipedia. No special knowledge is required at all, just a digital camera or a mobile and love towards the heritage monuments of the city. Date: Saturday, 22 September 2012.
