Please do not introduce links in actual articles to user pages or sandboxes, as you did at Ebanks. Since these pages have not been accepted as articles, user pages, sandboxes and drafts are not suitable for linking in articles. and such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. Neville (fictional character) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Neville (fictional character), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi, the key thing when writing a new article is that all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). I don't know if Draft:Neville (fictional character) is an important character (I'm assuming in Thomas & Friends) - but since on List of Thomas & Friends characters the characters don't appear to have individual articles I would guess not. If you think they are notable you need to find sources to show that they are. You can ask for more advice from lots of experienced editors at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. If your a fan of subjects like this that may not be encyclopedic enough for articles on Wikipedia then you may find fandom.com more suitable. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 17:18, 17 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

UK flag protocols

edit

Btw, read this before you accuse people of changing the UK flag. It explicitly says normal proporations of the UK flag on land is 3:5. The 1:2 is also a correct ratio but they are customarily made. https://www.flaginstitute.org/wp/uk-flags/british-flag-protocol/#index3 Conor M98 (talk) 16:27, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

The UK’s flag shape of 3:5 works well with nearly all other nations’ flags and it is recommended to use these proportions if a standard size is required for all the flags in a display. However this wasn't the case on Wikipedia and the 1:2 ratio should be used instead due to the flags' shapes. OMGShay 92 (talk) 16:43, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of GTSQ

The page GTSQ has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.
