editThis article really needs expansion, to justify keeping it around, and separate from Scion xB. --Vossanova 20:56, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- And why do we NEED to keep it separate? I should think it could easily be merged with the Scion xB article, as long as there's a Redirect, so that someone looking for the Toyota bB would still be able to find it! That's MY two cents! ~~ Mpwrmnt 07:18, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Removed model kits
editI commented out the model kit pictures, I'm not really sure why these were here. If someone feels strongly that they should be here please remove the commenting and put them back in.Improbcat (talk) 13:11, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Why the Merge?
editI don't understand why these articles were merged? They were the same vehicle for the first generation, but have diverged and are completely different vehicles based on completely different platforms for subsequent generations. Having them together, then explaining that a 2nd generation xb is one car and 2nd generation bb is a completely different car seems needlessly confusing. Also things like the open deck, or the release series are region-specific and don't carry over.
I think these should be kept seperate even though there is overlap, much like the Ford Focus.Improbcat (talk) 14:47, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Articles have been un-merged. Improbcat (talk) 20:10, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
related vs aka
editThe Toyota bB, Scion xB, Subaru Dex and Daihatsu Materia are all based on the same basic platform. Should these be regarded as variants of the same car (ie list them in the 'aka' field in the infobox) or as merely close relatives (ie list them in the 'related' field in the infobox)? Currently we have some infoboxes using 'aka' and some using 'related'. Stepho talk 04:26, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- Recently, @MickeyB46: added mention of the Toyota Corolla Rumion (Japan) and Toyota Rukus (Australia). The Scion xB was already there. I removed some of his text but added them to the aka list in the infobox. @182.30.204.161: then pulled them from the infobox. To my knowledge, they are essentially the same car with a bit different trim. Shall we call them the same car (aka) or just say that they are (highly) related? Similar situation for the Mark II, Cressida, Cresta and Chaser. Stepho talk 11:49, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Stepho-wrs: The Corolla Rumion/Rukus is based on the E150 model of the xB, not XP30 (or bB). Their relation between the second generation xB is that they are essentially the same car, just named differently between regions. 182.30.204.161 (talk) 04:40, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, your'e right. I got the first and second gen xB mixed up in my head. Stepho talk 13:27, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
