Hi
In this "Amravati wikipedia" there was information regarding tourism, chikhaldara, melghat etc.(I think somebody has deleted it).I think Melghat, chikhaldara, salbardi are the part of Amravati district which attracts tourist/pilligrims and as torist visits these places which results into growth in revenue of district. Please mention the information regarding it so that whenever people read this wiki they would come to know the importance and place of city in Maharashtra.
Education section needs clean-up.
editSection Education is written as a advertisement/promotional material. It needs to be re-written in neutral point of view.
I propose, section Education of this article be expanded as separate article. Which should include sections for Primary Education, High School, and Higher education.

Removing freedom fighters
editI am removing freedom fighter's list. It's too long and not directly related to city. May be we may create another article like history of Amravati and add it there. Please revert if you think it is is necessary here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.162.23.77 (talk) 03:45, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
Title change
editTitle should be Amaravati, not Amravati. Can someone please change? the pronunciation is also wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:0:B580:831:1F2:7ECC:258A:77AF (talk) 03:49, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

Requested move 12 May 2016
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Not moved. Consensus shows that this shouldn't be moved because the spelling without the "a" primarily refers to this article. (non-admin closure) Anarchyte (work | talk) 04:39, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Amravati → Amravati, Maharashtra – disambiguation of Amaravati Vin09 (talk) 04:41, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- Mild Oppose per "Amravati is" test, not strongly opposed since adding ",Maharashtra" might help some people on the search results and automatic infill, but if moved then PRIMARYREDIRECT should still go from the current spelling to the city. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:25, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. I think the spelling without the A does primarily refer to the city, as indicated by IIO above. And there is no need to include the state name otherwise. This is not part of the WP:USPLACE City, State universe. — Amakuru (talk) 20:52, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Merger of two pages
editCommencing. —usernamekiran (talk) 01:03, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
Reasoning for merger
- Both the pages regarding grounds which were merged in this article, were stub.
- They were not just stubs, they were not even a big paragraph.
- As the grounds do not have any other notable history than mentioned, and no bright future in near future, there is no need for them to have separate articles.
- Based on aforementioned reasoning, the merger was obvious need, so I performed it "boldly". —usernamekiran (talk) 01:29, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
