Start and end dates
editFor the record. An India Today issue from 1992 [1] says-
Old habits, obviously, die hard. ♦ The makers would have liked it to be a Christmas present to the nation. But do preferred otherwise. The long-awaited Stories from the Bible will replace Chanakya which goes off the air in August.
And a Times of India article (1 December 1991, Sunday)[2] says-
Every Sunday morning, Chanakya makes a shrewd bid to spread the message of Hindutva according to the critics of this popular TV serial. But its creator, Chandraprakash Dwivedi, begs to differ, reports Madhavi Irani ONLY 12 episodes-old...
Meaning the start date is either 8 September (excluding 1 December) 15 September (including 1 December). The end date, therefore (considering Jan 26, Sunday, Republic Day), is either 2 August, or 9 August.
If someone has more precise information, do update the article.Last Contrarian (talk) 20:30, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
- It definitely started on 8 September according to IE. Last Contrarian (talk) 12:28, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- And ended on 9 August 1992. Last Contrarian (talk) 12:51, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
