Samantha would like them to employ Mr. Gilman, father of her friend Tina,who is depressed because her father has recently lost his job and Christmas is coming up. Several candidates are interviewed,mostly unsuitable but Mr. Gilman does not turn up,the job eventually going to a Mr. Dunbar. Actually this was Mr,Gilman,using his middle name so that he would not be identified as an associate of Simon and claims of favoritism made.Samantha is pleased with herself for suggesting such a subtle plan.
