Welcome to The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

We are an independent, 501c3 non-profit museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate, and the nation's only congressionally chartered museum in its field. The museum is an intriguing place to learn the story of the Atomic Age, from early research and nuclear development to today's peaceful uses of nuclear technology.

Beyond our exhibits, we also offer family-friendly and adult-only events. Visit our events page for the latest museum happenings.
