    • 2002, Indian Journal of Strategic Studies, volume 23, page 163:
      (a) Intelligence.—This includes SIGINT, ELINT and their Electronic countermeasures (ECM, ECCM, ECCCM and so on).
  2. (countable) An Earth-orbiting satellite used to intercept signals.
  3. (countable, uncountable, computing) A signal sent to a process by its controlling terminal when a user wishes to interrupt the process.
