Tony Basha (born 9th of March 1981) is an Australian professional football (soccer) midfielder who last played for the Rydalmere FC club. Basha currently runs the Australasian Soccer Academy in Sydney Australia.

Biography

Tony Basha received his early schooling at Granville South Public School and secondary schooling at Granville South High School where he plied his skills in the senior and junior teams. During his time at Granville South High School Basha was spotted as a player with immense potential and recruited by the New South Wales Premier State League club Parramatta FC which later launched his professional career in the Singapore S-League for clubs Gombak United and Marine Castle. Basha also captained the Australian Lebanese team on their trips throughout Asia.

Tony Basha made his professional debut back in 2000 for Marine Castle as a 19 year-old midfield striker playing in the Singapore S-League.

Gombak United

After spending a season with Marine Castle Tony Basha returned home to Sydney, Australia to play in the NSW Super League with Fairfield Bulls. After a successful season Tony Basha linked with team mate Ballamodou Conde at Gombak United in 2006

Rydalmere FC

Tony is currently head coach and captain of Rydalmere FC in the Granville District Premier League. In 2010 Tony Basha took the club to a Grand Final and also won the challenge shield. One of the oldest trophies in the history of Australian soccer.

Parramatta FC

In 2007 Tony Basha was the Parramatta FC Leading goalscorer with 7 goals

Tony Basha is the Head coach and Director of the Australasian Soccer Academy in Sydney Australia. Based in Merrylands, Rydalmere. The Academy has been open for 5 years. The academy has produced some really good players who are applying their trades in Australia and overseas. The Australasian Soccer Academy currently has 300 registered players.
