Vietnam

[edit]

I wanted to suggest adding Ngo Dinh Diem to the list of notable people who have been sent the Burn notice. 68.9.255.198 20:04, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Global?

[edit]

Is this just a US thing (in which case it should say so) or an international thing (in which case some non-US examples should be added)? 81.158.3.74 01:05, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Examples

[edit]

If "A burn notice is an official statement" issued from one agency to another, then why do the "Examples of Burn Notices" include people?

Is it a list of people who've received burn notices? If these are recipients, then what individuals or groups were they told were unreliable for what reasons or purposes? Were they deemed unreliable? If so, then by what agency to which other agency? Maybe some exposition would help make this more clear? --Thomas Btalk 05:39, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This looks like someone's list of people they wished got burn notices. The cited Newsweek article only said that a third person (not Chalabi or Curveball) has a "mislaid" "burn notice." I'll delete the false information. Calbaer (talk) 17:23, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Content

[edit]

Right now the article is a verbatim copy of the opening statement made on the show Burn Notice. That doesn't seem too official. Maybe bring it more in line with the reference that it has attached to it? Skajohnny (talk) 05:32, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe the opening to the Burn Notice TV show is actually derived from an official definition. Did you check this was or wasn't the case before making your comment? 109.157.98.78 (talk) 07:01, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect

[edit]

I was thinking that perhaps Burn Notice should redirect to the television series. To me it seems that more people look it up for that reason than for anything else. Also, this page is just a stub, so isn't very informative anyway. If anyone has any issues with that just let me know. Tithonfury (talk) 05:18, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since the TV show is named after this, it makes more sense to leave things as they are now. This article might not be very informative at the moment, but the better solution would be to add more detail to it :) Adam McMaster (talk) 16:14, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Burn notice (document)Burn notice – It is extremely odd that the common-noun capitalized Burn notice redirects to the television series Burn Notice instead of having this article there. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 10:11, 8 November 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Raladic (talk) 16:23, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
