Ratings and Reviews
It was better before the update.
The apple maps was far better before because of the following reasons:-
1) I could modify my route midway in transit to avoid tolls without exiting the transit. In the current version, it's not possible.
2) I select the sound volume of the directions, and also could select the output mode... Bluetooth or speaker phone mode. In the current version, that option is simply not there!!!
3) Unlike Google maps, storing location with custom name is simply impossible!!! Are very important key feature!!! This feature was never there even in the older version.
4) Traffic updates are highly inaccurate! I need to open Google maps to get real-time traffic info! This issue was there even in the older versions.
I'm wondering whether Apple actually does beta testing before rolling out the updates. The only reason I still use apple maps whenever possible is that during playback in Bluetooth, it'll lower the volume of the music being played and then give directions rather than simply stop music playback like Google maps. The moment Google maps incorporates this feature, I'll be exiting apple maps unless they rectify the issues.
It's funny that even on Apple iPhone, Google maps rule. 😂
I can’t believe apple pushed such an unpolished app
I have been a user of Apple Maps for about a year now. It works fine when it works. But most places aren’t listed on the maps, trying to save your own home or office address is a nightmare, it keeps “correcting” the address to a completely different location, it’s not simple or intuitive. For more rural places it flat out says “A route can’t be shown because of a problem connecting to the server”
Either rework the app heavily or drop the app and shift to gmaps. Give credit where credit is due. I will be uninstalling the app.
Out dated maps
We all know that Apple Maps is very outdated, I would be very appreciative if they actually update the map, because the features and everything else is on the spot amazing, all that I personally don’t like is out dated maps
