ω, or the WikiWork factor, is a metric for assessing the current status of articles. ω is the number of classes a WikiProject is away from having all articles be featured. The formula for obtaining ω is:

$\omega =a+2g+3b+4c+5s+6t$

where a is A-class articles, g is GA-class articles, b is B-class articles, c is C-class articles, s is start-class articles, and t is stub-class articles.

Relative wikiwork, or Ω, is the average wikiwork level of all articles in the project (currently 12,412). The formula for obtaining Ω is:

Other ω-derived statistics, as of 03:12, January 7, 2013 (UTC):

• ω per capita = (${\frac {\omega }{number~of~editors}}$, 40 editors at time of calculation) = 1,248.95
• ω per task force = (${\frac {\omega }{number~of~task~forces}}$, 57 task forces): 876.45
• 10,865 classes above Wikipedia as a whole ($\omega -(\Omega _{wikipedia}*number~of~articles)$)
  • At the time of calculation, Wikipedia as a whole had a ω of 18,932,456 on 3,414,096 articles on the Stub–FA scale for a Ω of 5.545

Computing the metrics

These metrics are computed by hand using a spreadsheet made in KSpread 1.6.3. One can compute the statistics themselves very easily using the equations above, or you can use this form to get the statistics. However, when manually computing the metrics, be sure to include FAs in the total number of articles, even though they count zero in the total stats.
