Brian Stansberry Built in 1893, the Moore County Old Jail Museum is located just off the historic town square and was used as a jail until 1990. Today, it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places and houses historical clothing and artifacts. The oak and brick constructed building also preserves the two 8x8 jail cells that inmates occupied. The museum operates from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and is closed on holidays.
