With sadness we share that “The Father of Apoptosis”, John F.R. Kerr, passed away on 4 June 2024, aged 90.
Kerr was renowned for his inspirational contribution to education, cell death and giving a generation of medical students a solid understanding of the pathological basis of disease. The full obituary can be read in the Cell Death & Differentiation journal or click the link above.
