Very disappointing
28 August 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this because of the two male leads Lee Soo Hyuk and Jang Ki-Yong. They did not disappoint. However, the main actress was at times very annoying. How could she encourage someone she knew loved her, while supposedly loving someone else? And she did this knowing he was a murderer even if it was in the past?

The actress who played the fiancée was great and a convincing psychopath. The two mothers were about as crazy as they come. The detective's partner was funny.

The ending was terrible! But it was all worth watching Lee Soo Hyuk walk down the hallway in his suit with his dark steely eyes and shiny hair.

Not a perfect 10 but...
13 September 2022
At first, I thought this would be just another Rom-Com. But as it went on I noticed that while the two main leads had their struggles and obstacles on their path to love, the others also had interesting dynamics. The ex-fiancé who let Oh Hae Yoeng think he didn't love her to protect her. The older sister/director who just wanted to be loved yet didn't want to force it on someone who couldn't see her as a romantic. The other Oh Hae Yoeng who also walked away to free Do Kyong from what would have been a loveless marriage.

Everyone had to make sacrifices making mistakes along the way, and even those that were to blame for all the hurt & heartache became characters you felt pity for in the end.

Some things were predictable, but by the end you were so involved emotionally you just wanted the best for everyone.

7 out of 10 for the acting
23 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Good acting, but too much time spent on fight scenes and not enough on the relationship between the two main characters. I was left wanting more. For this reason I could only give it a 7 out of 10.

Unlikely Duo is a Hit!
9 September 2021
I was immediately engaged from the opening scene in Episode 1. The pairing of the fast talking London trained detective with the sometimes frustratingly slow moving older detective is genius! And the last scene in the same episode...charming!

Very good series. Kept you wondering what was real and what wasn't. You slowly come to realize the truth.

Masterpiece!

Great storyline keeps you guessing from beginning to end! Great acting by both leads. Wonderful Bromance. They both deserve awards. Supporting cast was also very good. If you like suspense this one's for you.

Delightful!

I was not prepared for how I would enjoy this series. Each character while different is so endearing. Just what I needed to escape all the craziness in the world today. Can't hardly wait for season 2!!!

Disappointed
4 February 2021
I was disappointed with this series. It had so much potential but in the end I was left wanting & confused. I stuck with it ONLY because of Joon Go.

Great "who done it" detective series!
2 December 2020
This was a great detective series! I must admit I figured out two mysteries on my own especially who was really behind it all. But it didn't take away from the suspense and my interest in each character. The lead detective was excellent as were all the other supporting characters. One character broke my heart and I'll say no more so I don't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I sometimes fast forward when episodes drag on or get a bit boring, but I never did that with this series. Totally worth watching!

Great series!

What a great series! I fell in love with Nam Gil in The Fiery Priest and fell in love again with his innocent portrayal of Heo Im (Bontak). I was captivated from the very first episode. I loved watching them both navigate through different time periods they were unfamiliar with. By episode 8, I knew this was a special series that was going to stay with me for a long time to come. Not sure which time period they will end up in, but so far I am loving it and highly recommend it!

Overall it was delightful!
21 October 2020
Except for the times the lead female character Han Yeo Reum was a little over the top being clumsy, nosy and annoying, I really enjoyed this series. I became very interested in the security couple. It was nice watching them realize how much Thy really cared for one another.

I especially enjoyed all the behind the scenes incidents at the airport. They did a good job showing what airport workers deal with on a daily basis. I will keep that in mind next time I fly somewhere.

Great series!
26 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The lead male is truly "dripping with sexiness"...Delightful romantic-comedy. Loved all the actors who were perfect in their roles. Only annoying character was Je Yin the young girl who pushes her way into the life of the Snake champion fighter. Her character was unnecessary.

Every character was memorable! And true to Korean J-dramas...tears up to the last episode, but the ending did not disappoint!

D.O. Need I say more?!
18 September 2020
D.O. was perfectly cast as the Crown Prince with amnesia! His natural faraway gaze gave his character the lost look of someone struggling to remember who he is. He played his character stoically and credibly. I loved him in this series! I rated it a 9 only because there were a few "holes" in the story that were never filled or explained, but D.O.'s portrayal rates a 10!!!

Delightful! Great performances by all!
7 June 2020
What a wonderfully delightful series! Each one of these veteran actors threw out all the stops and gave top notch performances. They touched on every topic that people face in their lives especially as they enter their twilight years. I didn't want it to end!!!

Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook
25 May 2020
Why, why, WHY did he stay there after day one of all the weirdness?! And why is his girlfriend not listening to him and being so non-supportive?! I do enjoy two great actors in such different roles! This is why I gave it an 8 rating.

Great "feel good" series!
10 May 2020
I wasn't sure at first how I liked this series but I stuck with it because of actor Sun Kyun-Lee who is one of my favorites. He and the series did not disappoint me! Soon I felt like part of the team. They were funny and yet complex. Each person had a backstory which helped you understand why they were the way they were. I fell in love with each character and didn't want it to end!!!

Great chemistry makes for touching and funny moments!
29 October 2019
You probably couldn't put together four more different guys. But the chemistry works and it makes for some really funny moments as well as touching ones. They actually made me cry a few times but most times I laughed out loud.

Great series!
17 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Great cast, intriguing case of serial murders but mostly a story of love and bromance that makes you feel like you are part of the series. Very well written and executed by the actors. Even some humorous moments to lighten the dark subject of serial murders without feeling cheesy.

Gripping from beginning to end!
12 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The acting by both the lead actor and supporting actor was superb. The other supporting actors did a great job also. It is amazing how you could hate the murderer yet feel pity for him at the end.

Warning: Spoilers
I totally missed the connection between the two characters! What didn't I get?! Spoilers are allowed as long as you make it clear you'll be giving away the twist ending.
