Romulus (2020)
Outstanding!
I was really looking forward to this series coming out and I haven't been left feeling disappointed. I love it and it's simply outstanding. How can it have been given such a lowish rating? My only guess is that people are confusing this excellent TV series with the average film of the same name maybe?
All Creatures Great & Small (2020)
Really Good!
I wasn't expecting this to be good but it is! Just a lovely enjoyable show that's really well acted. A joy to watch and also something that I can happily watch with my family without wanting to desperately watch something else.
The King (2019)
Brilliant.
I loved this. Henry V was the greatest English King and it's fantastic to see something new made about him.
Loved it and thanks Netflix!
Giri/Haji (2019)
Really Loved Watching This and Would Highly Recommend.
Really loved watching this show. Unfortunately missed it on the BBC before it was sold off to Netflix. It's not a 10 for me, but it's close and had me gripped throughout. Kelly Macdonald was absolutely fantastic in this, as was Takehiro Hirawere and most of the cast. It was also cool to see Tony Way pop up in this and get some action too! I think Sophia Brown is a good actress but definitely miscast in this which was a shame. Will Sharpe was great at adding another dimension to the cast too!
Look just genuinely a cool drama to watch and get stuck into for a day. X
Love & Friendship (2016)
Kate Beckinsale Can't Act
Saw this on the BBC a few days ago and I was genuinely suprised to find out that this is a film and not a made for TV drama.
I had never seen Kate Beckinsale in anything before but she was just an awful actress. I have seen better performances in school plays and amateur dramatic performances. This poor performance basically ruined anything good about the film.
Yeah, SHOCKER of a film.
Polar (2019)
Love It!
I really love this film. I really can't understand the low score. I watched a video on YouTube stating everything wrong with this film and it just made me want to watch it as I thought it looked fantastic. Mads Mikkelsen isn't usually an actor that I would look out for in a film, but he really makes this movie and is perfect in the part. Made me laugh out loud quite a few times too! X
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Just Awful.
I think the cast are really talented on the whole but this was a terrible film. How can you take the Star Wars franchise and write a turkey like this? Woeful waste of an opportunity and hard to watch and get into.
Joker (2019)
Darker Than Dark!
I actually really didn't want to like this film and thought I was going to find it awful to watch. Instead I found it to be brilliant. So deeply disturbing and had me on totally gripped throughout. Amazing film and so well done. I usually don't like Phoenix but he is so good in this and really gets it bang on. Thanks for making this film!
Wild Bill (2019)
Started woefully but ended great!
The last episode of this tonight was fantastic! Thanks for making a series based in Lincolnshire. It's been great to see my local area on TV!!!! The first episode was awful, but it's got better each week and the final episode was brilliant. I hope if there is a second series it will continue at the level of quality shown in this final episode.
"It's flat, you can see for miles."
Indeed it is and you can.
Aftermath (2017)
Really impressive performance from Arnie!
This randomly came on last night as I was falling asleep and have to say I was seriously seriously impressed by Arnold's acting! Wasn't expecting that performance. Brilliant and underated.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Love it!
I must be rare in that I found the first few series of GOT boring and have fallen in love with the show from series 5 onwards! I love this final series so much. I particularly love that Danny has finally shown her true colours and can't understand why anyone would be surprised by her actions. I for one am in no way disappointed or shocked. Love love love it!
True Romance (1993)
My Faveourite Film Ever.
Have to give this 10/10 because it's still my Number one film now after having first seen it nearly twenty years ago. I love every second of it. From the dialogue to the stellar cast and everything in between. It just feels like my movie and I think it always will be.
Lords of Chaos (2018)
Great representation of the story.
I would never condone or idolise the behaviour of the real life characters in this film but as a story this has to be the darkest band story ever. Having seen the documentary a few years ago about this scene, I was completely fascinated. I think this film is a pretty good portrayal of what happened and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Sure some of the characters aren't hiding their Stateside accents but it didn't detract from the film at all.
The Grand Tour (2016)
Loving the third series even more than the other two.
I'm really happy that Amazon make this show. I have genuinely loved the third series so far in!!
White House Down (2013)
Loved it!
I watched this film last night expecting to turn it off after ten minutes in. Instead I thoroughly enjoyed this film! Honestly loved every minute of it.
