Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures (2019)
Horrible Sequel
I was disappointed with this so-called sequel to Yanxi Palace. The Princess was clearly a sociopath and a totally despicable character. I was offended by this less-than-humane portrayal of royals who permitted their child to behave in despicable ways. Honestly, I found this follow-up to the original production a big letdown.
Her parents, who were sympathetically portrayed in the original broadcast, seemed to have regressed into horrible, self-centered individuals. What a letdown! I could not help but feel that new screenwriters with no accurate understanding of the original storyline must have written this awful sequel. Thankfully, it was shorter than the original because it is not worth comparing to the original story.
I, for one, will not watch it again, nor will I recommend it to any other Netflix viewer that I know.

How Disappointing!
Let me begin by saying that I am a fan of both lead actors. Despite my respect for their past acting successes, I must confess that I found this drama boring, poorly written, and poorly acted. In addition, I was disturbed by the fact that despite them both being portrayed as skilled doctors (on prescribed meds for depression), they were both heavy drinkers. This was unethical and unrealistic. They both needed to take sabbaticals and seek prolonged treatment for their addictions. Their growing affection for each other was lukewarm at best; they were supposedly nearly thirty years old but acted like they were teenagers in their approach to romance. I blame the writers for this and will not finish watching this series or recommend it to anyone.

This CDRAMA Leaves You Wanting More...
The Longest Promise, a Chinese fantasy drama starring Zhan Xiao and Min Ren, was in many ways an amazing drama, that had many good points and some glaring flaws. Needless to say, the actors were good in their roles and as such should be applauded for a job well done, considering the complexity of the storyline. The costumes, music and cinematography were also good.
The problem was the script/screenplay, which in my opinion was all over the place. There were simply too many subplots, too many plot holes, too many unanswered questions, too many what ifs at the end of the drama for this viewer to give this drama anything above an 8. The main leads were even affected by this poor planning and screenwriting. The proof of this is that the ending was different from the ending in the novel on which it was based and thus proved to be a disappointment for many viewers (this reviewer included). This cdrama leaves you wanting more clarity. I wish the screenplay writers had stuck with the plot as presented in the novel.

What An Enjoyable, Light-Hearted Drama
I really enjoyed watching this romantic comedy. While some of the plot was predictable, there were enough twists in the storyline to keep this viewer watching the drama to the very end (without skipping).
I thought the cast did a great job with the script they were given. I especially enjoyed the main male and female leads. I empathized with the young king, who turned out to be both wise and benevolent to all of his subjects.
Kudos to the director, set designer, wardrobe designer and screenwriters for doing a marvelous job in bringing this historic fictional drama alive. Kudos to all. Watch it!

This is a Disappointing Adaptation of the Ramayanan Epic
I am not a Hindu, but I am somewhat familiar with several of the Hindu Epics, especially Ramayana, so I was unhappy with this rendition of the Epic for many reasons: The inconsistency in the retelling of the Epic bordered on blasphemy: Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman were ineffective as the beloved heroes in this retelling of the epic; the story which started in the middle of the epic was fragmented and confusing at best; Sita, who represents the epitome of the virtuous woman was basically absent and rendered ineffective throughout most of this rendition. The visuals were awful and quite frankly dark and bordering on cartoonish. How is that possible in this day of sophisticated CGI?? What a downer for the Hindu community and the larger Indian community in general. I felt sorry for the veteran actors in the cast and greatly disappointed in the screenwriters and director.

WHAT A WONDERFULLY ENDEARING DRAMA!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS DRAMA! I am a loyal fan of Lee Jun Ho and watch everything he stars in. I enjoyed every moment of this Kdrama from start to finish and don't understand the low rating.
The acting, cinematography, storyline and directing were top notch. It is a genuine rom-com with elements of both clearly interspersed in the storyline. The concept of justice and equity for all workers regardless of station was addressed by the ML, Gu Won (played by Lee Jun Ho) and carried through to the finish. His love for the Cheon Sarang (played by Im Yoon-Ah) was steady and sure. Needless to say, I shed tears of joy as I watched their romance develop and grow.
Kudos to all associated with this production. Give this show a watch; it's a great story!

This Is A Masterpiece, Watch It!
This is by far the best Martial Arts Dramas film I have ever watched. The two leads, Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi were fantastic as the lead actors in this Cdrama. Everything about it was excellent:the acting, the cinematography, the well- written story, the OST, both opening themes and ending themes, solos and background music, the direction and production were all well done. I also respected the way he related to his elder brother. Kudos to all!
I especially enjoyed Yang Yang's performance as a love smitten prince (and later husband) of his martial arts companion Zhao Lusi, whom he consistently loved with his whole heart. I loved the way he loved her and she in turn learned to love him. His sacrificial love for her bought tears to my eyes. Bravo!
The battle scenes were excellent, and in many ways reminded me of the South Indian masterpiece, Balhubali (2015-2016). This Cdrama was 40 episodes long, and worth every minute of it. Watch it!

ONE OF THE BEST MODERN ROMANCES I HAVE WATCHED IN A LONG TIME!
This series starts out slow, so please be patient because it gets better as it goes along. Dilraba and Yang Yang are excellent together; it is a joy to watch them perform. Kudos to Dilraba and Yang Yang for giving a heartfelt performance.

Don't Waste Your Time!
When are the Korean directors going to stop making all female leads in young adult dramas look weak and stupid and when is Lee Min Ho going to learn how to act? This drama is very predictable and very boring; a group of fifth graders could have written it. Very disappointed!

Ignore the nebulous title! This is a great series!
This is a must watch, especially because of the ML, Rowoon. He and the support cast make the show watchable. The storyline is believable, and the chemistry between the main leads is so real. Their story could happen to anyone. Great show!

What a Brillantly Produced Series!
As someone previously said, Korean dramas are getting better and better. I loved this series and will watch it again. It was brillantly produced and I loved that fact that it was a musical! The screen writers are to be commended for their excellent story. It did not drag and there were no cringe worthy moments as far as I'm concerned.
Ji Chang Wook portrayed his role well, as did Choi Song Eun, the FL lead. Bravo to you two, and Hwang In Yeop, and finally to the entire supporting cast. I especially loved the finale when the entire cast came out to take a bow, making everything seem like a broadway show. I could go on and on about this series, but I won't because others need to write their reviews too. Suffice it to say, that I see this as another masterpiece from the Korean movie industry. Bravo and Kudos to everyone involved in this wonderful production!

The FEMALE LEAD LOOKED LIKE THE MALE LEADS NOONA
I have watched the Chinese Version (2017) and prefer it to the Korean version for many reasons, which I am reviewing now. The main reason I disliked the Korean version is that the FL looked way too old for the baby faced ML. The apparent age difference was distracting and annoying to me. Couldn't they find a more compatible, younger actress to play the FL?
Amina (2021)
It could have been better if it had a better screenplay.
I found this movie interesting on several levels. It had a strong female lead, and a good supporting cast. The villain was comical, and I was glad when he got his just desert: death at the hands of Queen Amina and her supporters. The epitaph of her reign was informative and made up for all the flaws in the storyline and direction. Watch and learn, you'll be glad you did.

You Reap What You Sow
I have mixed feelings about this movie. I felt that the slim Hyeok took his girlfriend for granted and abandoned her when she was pregnant, so that he could work late with his female colleague. Her pleadings meant nothing to him, and she apparently took affection wherever she could find it -specifically in her obese patient turned friend. I feel that her boyfriend got what he deserved in the end. Watch this one when you have nothing else to do.

This is a Must Watch Historical/Fantasy Film!
What an engrossing series. Excellent acting on the part of the leads and the support actors. I even appreciated the storyline. If you like k-drama, you should watch this one. It is excellent. Kudos to all!

Good Actors, Bad Storyline
I am a fan of both of the lead actors and think they are both great young actors with endless potential, however, the storyline killed the series before it began. I would like to see Ahn Hyop Seop and Park Bo Young cast in another better written series in the near future.

I Love This Drama!!! Watch it, you will not be Disappointed!
I love, love, LOVE this drama. It is, IMO, one of the best dramas I've seen in a long while. The acting, the music, the storyline, and obviously the direction of this series was all very good. The actors were excellent in the execution of their respective roles. I was hooked early on. I highly recommend this series. You will laugh and you will cry tears of joy as you watch this lighthearted romantic comedy. KUDOS to everyone associated with this production, especially the lead actors.

WORTH THE TIME IT TAKES TO WATCH THE SHOW!
My Only Love Song is a funny, heartwarming series. I laughed and I cried as I watched this drama. I loved the lead couple and the chemistry between them was convincing. I too watched it from beginning to end, without pausing. If you want to watch a Korean drama that has heart, this show is the one for you. Kudos to all associated with this drama.

This Does Not Compare to the Much Better Korean Version
I have had the dubious pleasure to watch three versions of this drama and can honestly say that I find this version the most annoying presentation of them all. The writing and direction were poorly executed. The acting was over wrought. The leads had little to no chemistry. The lead female was downright annoying and stupid! I persisted to the end of the series with great regret and was glad when it was finally over and done with. This series has to be among one of the most disappointing I've ever watched.

What An Awful Drama!
This is one of the worst K-dramas I've ever watched. The writing and directing are at fault here. Add on to that the poor choices for the lead roles and you have a recipe for disaster. I am not joking! The main leads are both obnoxious, and despite what some reviewers said, it does not improve as it goes on. What a waste of time!
Otsomae Bolkeun Kkeutdong (2021)
Beautiful Historic Drama Based on Actual Fact
I love, love, love this drama. I rate it up there with Goblin and Eternal Love. It is a masterpiece and the cast is one of the best I've seen in a very long time. Everything about it is on point. The two talented leads set the pace and the supporting cast made it all credible. The storyline was accurate, the cinematography great, the writing is to be commended, the direction and production were good too.
It is an emotional story so you may find yourself in tears at some juncture, and laughing at other times. The ending is almost sacred. I found myself crying uncontrollably at the finale. All in all, Red Sleeves is everything you could possibly hope for in a well-written, acted and produced drama. Kudos to all. Please watch this drama. It's really worth it!
Sooryavanshi (2021)
What a Waste of Time!
I was truly disappointed with this awful film. It was so unrealistic and extremely loud. The storyline was pure nonsense. The acting was absolutely awful. I am a longtime fan of Akshay and Ajay, so it hurt to watch them making fools of themselves. Don't waste your time watching this junk!
When My Love Blooms (2020)
Loved This Romance Drama
I loved, loved, loved this k-drama from start to finish! What a beautiful love story. I enjoyed it all from Episode one to Episode sixteen. It was a well acted, well directed drama. The flashbacks added to the depth of the story and explained their never ending affection/love for each other. Needless to say, I cried my eyes out throughout the series and I will do it again, because I will definitely watch it again and again. Kudos to all!
Dae Jang-geum (2003)
Excellent Historical Drama
The Great Jang Geum aka as Jewel in the Palace on Rakuten Viki, is indeed one of the best K dramas I have ever watched. Excellent cast, direction, gripping storyline and cinematography all added up to a masterpiece drama. I will watch this again and recommend that others watch it too.
Shaandaar (2015)
Not As Bad As They Are Saying
Give this film a chance for the following reasons: Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, two very talented Indian actors; the cinematography is excellent. Even though the plot is thin, the movie is funny.
