Paint (2023)
An honest take. Paint is hilarious and doesn't take itself too seriously.
This was actually a GREAT comedy drama. I pride myself on being very critical with films-- but ones like this, (dumb and dumber, big daddy, camp nowhere) they aren't meant to be taken seriously.
The jokes reminded me of the 90s. Back when we weren't afraid to make a joke about femininity or masculinity. People are calling this movie sexist and I think that's such a shame. It feels as though they watched about 20 minutes of the writer developing Carl Nargle and his womanizing ways and decided they were disgusted with it. It reminds me of a movie called "I care a lot" in which the main character was thoroughly 'unlikeable'. People slandered that film but it was incredibly good. I don't see why it has to be so politically polarizing except for that our country is nose deep in outrage culture.
The point of the film was that the main character would learn something about himself and grow as a person. Like most other films. He does.
I laughed out loud about 15 times and I'm actually going through a horrible breakup right now. To be clear, I feel absolutely miserable and do not want to laugh. However, this movie somehow cheered me up. It does NOT deserve the horrible ratings it's getting by all other users. I don't know if they are taking it too seriously, or they just cant stand comedy. I'm not a huge fan of comedy myself. However I do like it a lot when it doesn't take itself too seriously.
At first I was a bit put off by the obvious references to the famous Bob Ross. I thought it felt a bit irreverent, but he is only an inspiration to the film. Owen Wilson made Carl Nargle his own character. Truthfully, I cannot think of anyone else to play this role.
To call this dull, dumb, 'like watching paint dry' is ridiculous. I guess it's like Wavy Gravy said,
"if you don't have a sense of humor-- it just isn't funny."
Old Man (2022)
has trouble living up to its message
The film is pretty 'dark and beautiful' but the story is all over the place by the end. Love the cabin.
The way it was done was a bit hamfisted but I stayed till the end. I liked how it was done it just felt like it could have been much more if we explored the characters more. Maybe if I watch it again I would appreciate it more.
I would recommend John and The Hole, that other Lang movie where hes blind and the kids try to break in his house, and also 14 cloverfield lane.
Lang was freaking incredible as the old man. In summary, I just felt like their needed to be more foreshadowing and less dramatic foreplay between main and the other character. You should definitely see it, if it interests you at all. The story certainly will not stay with me, but the film itself was interesting.
Ram Dass Here and Now (2012)
"I want no thing, I fear no thing, I am free."
It's hard to summarize what Ram Dass has meant to me. He was and is the closest thing we have to a western guru. He spent most of his life in loving devotion to everything and everyone. He wanted to show us how to transcend death and transcend ourselves. Not in a kind of spiritual ascetism, the body is a vehicle to samadhi. It's OK for the western mind to let itself go and stop trying to calculate everything, and prepare, and survive. Thanks to Ram, I know how to get enlightened, but I am not sure I want to. Yet.
Meeting Ram Dass changed my life forever. I am sure it enriched my life. He was like fertilizer for my soul. I could not recommend anything else more. The best thing I could ever offer anyone are these talks.
The Diabetes Solution (2021)
The truth isn't popular
Overall I think the documentary is incredibly important because it offers a realistic take on diabetes and points out that it has become (or always has been) commoditized. It gives you an inside look at how people commonly mistreat their diabetes and casually pass it off. There are a lot of anecdotes from doctors and nurses that are important to understanding how people live with it. Also deserving of mentioning is how society tends to subliminally advertise diabetes (carbohydrates) on every commercial and street corner.
In reality this should be trending on Netflix but instead it is behind a paywall--- ? I know there are other documentaries that say the same thing but the testimonials of the parents really speak to the viewer. Especially if you have a kid or a friend with Diabetes.
Highly recommended.
The Insider: Reggie Yates (2016)
Reggie is out there
Say what you want about Reggie Yates and how he's back in his London comfort after this--- but the man is out there in it, and showing us what it is. I've learned a lot from his presentations and he's relative. He can see through an objective lens. That is my opinion anyway.
He does good work. The people registering about Reggie and taking him down are just Weird. Someone said there isnt a lot of point to these documentaries...
Man you are literally staring it in the face and you cant see it for what it is? You need to get your "eyes" checked. I see it. It's right there. Reggie is just a part of it. Thats why his stuff works.
Keep it rollin Reggie I saw you in the fields with the burning cables....you didnt shy away. He is a real one.
Pleasure (2021)
Just an HONEST OBJECTIVE REVIEW
Okay so "Pleasure" delves into what it is like to be a porn star. It comes equipped with all of the debauchery you would expect to portray this sometimes sordid craft. However, porn is something we're all intimately acquainted with and we all have a least a passing passion for how it is done.
The girls involved. The challenges they face working in such an industry. The guys they have to deal with on set. Even to the difficulties that male porn stars experience with 'being prepared and ready to go'
Boogie Nights was the only other film to really memorialize the porn industry and obviously it was fantastic. It crystallized the early porno scene industry. Pleasure does much the same but without a lot of the bravado and drugs. It feels very intimate and as though it were something that happened to the writer.
It captures the tensity of a live sex scene very well and you can even sense the nerves of the crew as they do their best to make the girls feel everything is professional and by the book. However it does get into the hardcore scenes, and even beyond that at times. Too far beyond it. The surreal nature of a "rough" scene and blurring the lines of what is performative art and what is bordering on sexual abuse and rape. Only the girls willingness to go through with it makes the act forgivable at all. I am not a fan of hardcore porn and this film doesn't glorify it. Much the opposite. It's an important film for pretty much everyone to see. Especially the younger generation that has been consuming porn for the entire lives via the internet.
My only complaint would be that I think some of the cinematic scenes could have been edited down quite a bit. The movie had a few pacing issues although it didn't really matter it just felt... a little weirdly structured. I mean honestly the film is an 8 for me and I am really really picky. :O
I found the film to be exceedingly entertaining and I really loved the wholesome acting of Linnea. After seeing it there are ALOT of takeaway feelings involved---
In closing I think the message of the film was to just give us a real glimpse of the adult entertainment world. Obviously the industry is changing now and pornstars/sex workers are getting rid of the middle man and producing their own content on sites like Onlyfans.
No Sudden Move (2021)
Somewhat Weakly Evoking Guy Ritchie and Tarantino
Well I would recommend the movie.
It was very professionally filmed and presented. However the rolled look of the film lens is kind of annoying. I'm not sure if it increases the field of view? It just makes the film look skewed the entire time. Like you are watching it through a slightly distorted mirror. I don't get it, dont like it, and I assume it is some high brow film technique.
They should have made us more aware of the importance of the item that was the focal point of the story. Until the end of the movie I didn't get how important it was (when they provided subtext/context) Perhaps because I don't understand automobiles.
Consequently I went through the movie feeling as though I had no idea why the device is so significant. It would have made it much more exciting to know what it was during the film. Any of the characters could have been given a minute to expand on the significance of the device.
I also thought that the story needed more character development. I didn't really care about what happened to any of the characters. Except maybe Cheadle's character because he was the only one that seemed to have a moral compass.
Also, it felt like the film was inspired by Guy Ritchie and Tarantino's style. The two main characters banter reminded me of Jackie Brown a lot.
I like when Guy Ritchie explains characters with a narrator as they are introduced versus this film seems to just do it without as much context and thus we're supposed to just accept them for who they are cinematically presented as. Such as Ray Liotta's character. However, Ray doesn't really need much subtext to have you believe that he is a menacing person worthy of fear and commanding power.
All in all--- it was fun to watch. It's masterful acting and filming. Just left me feeling a bit cold and detached.
Infinite (2021)
Such horrible reviewers bade me write something
So this film which I just saw was pretty awesome. I am not sure what these other reviewers are expecting but this is what filmmaking is all about. Telling a story. Using our imagination. Maybe perhaps they have gotten to see everything and now all stories feel like rehashed pieces of other stories. Ironic how this sentiment reminds me of the main villain in this movie. He is tired of seeing the same old things.
Well, this is the nature of mythology. We began with stories around a campfire in a cave. Then we moved on to religion. Now we mix religion and mythology and technology together and we create movies.
It felt like a wonderful mix of The Matrix and Cloud Atlas. I'm not saying this film is the next big sci fi film but what have we gotten since Edge of Tomorrow & Blade Runner 2037? Was Mark Wahlburg the wrong casting choice? Maybe so but he does a fine job. Was the story a little rushed? Perhaps. Yes, more world building or character development would have been welcomed whole-heartedly.
Look I've seen everything in my life. I've seen so many films. To rate this below a 6 would be an absolute crime. I see people handing out 3s. Now if I were like them and wanted to ruin the rating system I would give this film "a 10 to balance out the bad reviews" but I believe in being objective. And objectively you could never rate this below a 6. Anyone that believes otherwise is bitter or in a bad mood.
I'm not saying this is the next big thing but it really was an amazing ride. I found myself wanting more. I really loved the infusion of buddhism and science fiction. If anything I am disappointed it ended so soon.
If the premise interests you? Don't listen to anyone that ever rates a movie below a 5. If you go to an imdb review and there are a lot of reviews below a 5, ignore them. Only pay attention to what is above a 5, unless you're into campy horror or cult classics that aren't meant to be taken seriously.
I'm not asking for every film to remake the wheel. I just want to enjoy something imaginative. Something halfway believable. Something to make us forget the day to day 9 to 5 drudgery. The lack of magic in this world is because people fail to see it. This movie is escapism. It's grand. It's beautiful. The only thing it lacked was more running time.
One thing that is truly infinite is our ability to keep telling our story throughout time.
Holler (2020)
Tolerably Decent
A film about a young girl living in a town with few opportunities. Just to get by she has to help her brother steal trash that they go through for scrap metal. Which seems to be the only way of making any money in the town. This is probably the story of so many small towns in America. Manufacturing has definitely led to a dead end despite it's seemingly infinite promise throughout the 50s - the 2000s. The industry of industry is dying out. Jobs are sold to other countries because of globalization. Eventually they too will be writing stories like this one when capitalistic manufacturing reaches the end of it's road. Some other countries are just now experiencing their capitalist boom.
It tells the story of so many people these days. Poor. Addicted. Downtrodden. All of the actors did a fantastic job. There were a few parts that stuck out to me so the movie is "salvageable." I learned a little bit about what scrapping actually means and the film did a good job of metaphorically telling the tale of people who barely get by and must turn to the scraps.
One or two lines really stuck out for me and I wouldn't really call them spoilers but I'd love to share them:
("Talking to the guys in this town is all the birth control I'll ever need.")
("You'd scrap anything." ..."Yeah, so would you.") That was my favorite moment of the film.
I Care a Lot (2020)
I am aghast at the reviews on here
I just finished watching this film and I can't understand how anyone could rate it below a 5. It was enthralling, thrilling, funny, incredible. Every single one of the actors were riveting. Rosamund Pike was awesome and relentless. I guess if I HAD to complain about something it would be a lack of a back story to justify her actions and tenacity. I don't want to give anything away I just say you HAVE to see this film. Especially considering all these horrible bad reviews!!!
It is an absolute shame what people say about this film and I am very concerned with the 1/10's which are blatantly misrepresenting the film and I have trouble believing these people honestly feel such animosity towards the movie.
Please see it and see for yourself that critics apparently know Nothing.
Take Out Girl (2020)
If the plot interests you, see it.
So I was really into this movie. It has great character development and the script is pretty tight. The main character is very likeable and you really want to see her succeed. However the movie forced itself into a drama around the 75% mark. I'm conflicted because while 'I enjoyed the first half I thought the second half was really contrived and somewhat ...confusing. I don't usually write reviews but I saw how few there were and thought I should add one.
Ultimately the film is really enjoyable if you like the subject and plot. I can see this being a 7 or an 8 for some people easily. However for me I was disappointed with the mishmash of characters and the blatant use of irony towards the end. I still think this movie is worth seeing though. I think the writer has talent but they need to make sure they don't grab too many strings tying up loose ends.(?).
Just don't watch it if your hungry because they are in an Asian restaurant a lot of the time!!!!
I Know This Much Is True (2020)
Just an unlovable show
So I was interested mainly based on the condition of Dominick's Brother. I wanted to learn more about the day to day complications of having a brother with schizophrenia. Instead it heavily focused on the cumbersome dilemma that Dominick has with him. I suppose we were supposed to empathize with Dom but he turned out to be thoroughly unlikeable. Which was the main problem for me with this show. None of the characters are even remotely likeable.
The story itself is just boring to make matters even worse. Many are calling it "depressing" but I disagree because something has to be compelling to make it saddening. The only way its depressing is that it fails to gain even a passing interest. Dr. Patel is the only character that remotely got me excited for the show. It played out like it was a personal memoir that only those who knew the person would be suitable to engage with it. I admit its hard to pinpoint why it was such a boring show but I just feel like it was utterly unengaging. There was just nothing to like. Excepting perhaps the actors and actresses performances. I know many disagree with me and have given the show very very high ratings but I can't be misleading. I couldn't even give it a 6. For me it was a 4 because it wasn't a dumb show or anything it just didn't have anything special going on.
It was so heavy handed in its attempt to show you how bad things were without any real redemption. I actually fast forwarded the last episode because I had finally had enough of the show. It was... in a word.. unengaging and relying entirely on being depressing.
Tragically melodramatic. I can't recommend this show because it just leaves one feeling nothing.
Raised by Wolves: The Beginning (2020)
Strange Twisted Ending
Okay so the show is obviously going in an unthought of direction. The cut scenes with the evil demon people and the cheesy ghost voices continue to annoy. Mother gives birth to a demon snake instead of a baby. Her programming wouldn't allow her to interfere with it--- OK. The android gave birth....OK.... The planet impregnated her.... WAIT WTF? What is going on?? Nobody knows! The season has ended and we're left lurching in the dark. Marcus character has become a brutish madman IDIOT. Paul is hearing sols' will now too and doing stupid things that make no sense too. It's infuriating somehow.
Nobody knew it was a snake. I really liked this show but I don't get it a lot of times. I wish they had kept with the spirit of the show that had started it. As it stands--- I'm still invested in Season 2 but the snake makes no sense at all. He enlarges like 10x his size in 20minutes of an episode.
It started out so well but lately the show has been just meandering and making bad mistakes with all of its wonderful characters. I'm about tired of hearing about Sol and his whispering in peoples ears. Oh okay so it's the demon voice of the planet .? I don't know and I'm starting to REALLY NOT care.
I'm going to be back to watch Season 2 to see if they don't completely wreck this thing. As it stands I'm really upset because this was shaping up to be one of the coolest sci fi shows of all time. Now it is feeling very much like it has LOST it's way.
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
Oh My God
This show has the gravitas of Black Mirror in the sense of it being a completely new level of quality for Netflix. I am so used to being disappointed by the torrent of subpar shows on the streaming service.
HOWEVER, along comes this strange show a friend and I decided to try because the episodes were small and we needed to watch something offline for a drive. Well, we were exchanging looks very soon, "Is this really that good?"
I was utterly floored by some of these episodes with their weighty themes condensed into ten minutes. I had to check many times to even be sure the episode was merely that short.!
If you happen to not like a certain episode, give another a shot. This show is so beautiful. The artwork is surreal! But most importantly--- it's actually interesting and written very well!!!
It's funny because I don't usually say this, but--- you wont be disappointed!!
American Animals (2018)
It's just incredibly written and directed.
SO many reviews on here comment on the stupidity of the plan. As if whether or not the idea inside of a story has any bearing on whether the story will be any good.? You are supposed to be transporting yourself into the characters of the movie, and feeling what they feel. Did you feel no tension at all during the robbery scenes? Why? It doesn't matter.
We used to pretend trees were castles and forts. We used to imagine that we could be anything we wanted to be. Stupid was it? Was it? Maybe that led to an incredible film that captivated 100,000s of thousands of people. And I'm sure it will be a cult classic.
I'm telling you that this is actually a great film. I'd caution you on listening to anyone rating it below a 7. None of you thought Warren's chicanery was mesmerizing? None of you felt the over-arching message that we are yearning for 'something' and that some of us are rotting in the mediocrity of our lives. ? IF the plan seemed so 'stupid' to you, Chas was there to express your incredible disbelief. And Then to channel your rage at being involved in the entire thing.
This movie had it all except CGI and a stupid cliche plotline. What is wrong with you people rating this below 5. How dare you, and may you be ashamed please?
Into the Wild is a film that is overrated, cringe, and stupid. Yet you've given it a pass? IMDB is littered with hipfire critics who have apparently zero taste in good film-making. If you rate this below a 7 you should just give up on ever appreciating good cinema.....
Stick to The Avengers, comedies, and TV Sitcoms.
Bicycle Dreams (2009)
Meandering yet crucial look at long distance cycling
Now I don't really want to take much away from this film. It is quite singular and one should definitely see it if the subject matter is interesting to your life. However, it is horribly edited. There are way too many parts in which music and ambiance is supposed to suffice. IT's a bit haphazard in its structure, it really needed a lot more editing.
Bicycling is possibly the most efficient way for a man to make his way across terrain. With the right bike and equipment it is easy to traverse great distances at very little effort. The main problem lies in the weight of the bikes and we have begun to transcend such problems. The thing about the bike that has always fascinated me is that it really pushes someone to their limits with minimal commitment. IT is the most organic vehicle that we have, and I honestly believe that if this was the only mode of transportation it would be such an interesting world.
And this documentary also addresses the problem of the lack of challenge and tribulation in our society. Or what Dabrowski called Positive Disintegration, or what NIetzsche said, "what does not kill me, makes me stronger."
Subtitles were needed during certain accented excerpts from the riders. Honestly the message at heart is challenge and aestheticism. It is quite noble and I must say it at least garners a 7/10 But I am a huge fan of bicycling so I have given it an 8!
Bowling for Columbine (2002)
A harrowing look at a lack of empathy
The American scheme (dream) is laid bare for anyone to see in this movie.
First a few things I have to disclaim. Michael Moore can be crass at times. His method of getting interviews are bordering on trolling at times, but one has to remember that it is honestly a joke believing these people will stand up for the charges made against them. I think without these comedy bits his documentaries would be a bit dry, even if he is off the mark sometimes.
As I watched this movie I really started to wonder why is it that Americans are so backwards and controlled by fear. He interviews people who have no idea that they are displaying their mental illnesses on camera and it punctuates his points incredibly. People spend so much time criticizing Moore that they prove his point. Americans are not willing to listen or rethink their values. Their immediate response is to attack someone with opposing views, not with debate but with verbal or emotional abuse. Unfortunately Moore (and me and other Americans) also are guilty of throwing dirt before talking it out. So there is also that irony to be pondered. All in all it is a fascinating movie that is a singular documentary on the gun problem in America.
People like Moore give us a reason to be proud to be American. Even if we aren't a part of the "gravy train".
The Rover (2014)
Junk, Bleak, Lifeless, No Story, Plot Holes, Infuriating waste of time
This movie fails to engage any audience besides the "art festival" "indie film lovers" this movie sucked oh my god did it suck! as said by someone in this thread BLEAK. I shall add , LIFELESS. Actors did wonderful jobs, no doubt. If I wanted to see silent beauty I would watch a documentary on nature... as it stands this movie is totally dead in the water. I don't know what people see in these kinds of films. They don't satisfy any curiosity, they have bare bone plots, your like, its all about the characters! But NO they are not fleshed out! What the hell am I missing that you all are seeing ? Is it beautifully filmed? YES. Is it fun to watch, no. Fail. Panned.
I never thought I would say this, never, but I would rather watch Tammy than have to sit through this again. I'd even watch it twice. Other reviewers past all the glazed eyed art lovers expose the holes in plot and the patchy story work. A movie is a story not a static piece of art.
Infuriated, I wasted almost 2 hrs on this movie. Now I come to the forums and see all the glowing praise, what is wrong with cinema these days?
Night Moves (2013)
Eco-terrorism meets teenager thriller drama
Three volatile environmentalists plan on destroying a hydroelectric dam because of their belief that it is causing incredible damage to the surrounding areas... Now, I'm a bit hazy on Dams, but I do believe hydroelectricity to be pretty low on the treehuggers hate list. Either way its got Eisenberg and I have developed some faith in his choice of roles. If he disappoints me this time, like that seriously beautiful yet boring movie "The Double" he may find himself on MY hate/dislike list.
Okay. It's almost over. This movie is Not about environmentalism. This movie is very silent, and wants you to take all of its cues from visual cinematography(?). This is laudable, and the movie succeeds from a strictly filming standpoint. It says a lot about itself without saying anything. Great--- I'd rather watch good hard heart pounding cinema myself. Not an animated piece of practically static art.
That it kept my attention till the end says something, but when I stay that long only to be let down, its infuriating, more then just cutting it off in the middle. Half of the movie is the main character just sitting there looking haunted. I admit it is kind of suspenseful but ultimately it feels like a waste of my time! Eisenberg's acting cannot even be faulted, the script does not challenge him At All. Paul Dano would have fit the role WAY better too, since its mostly a visual cue movie.(?)
In fact its impossible to believe his character would actually go through with what he did! I was like, what? He's gonna choke her to death? This quiet little eco terrorist just turned this movie into a teenager murder drama/horror/ or something?
Furthermore, we do not believe in what they are doing. They are NOT lovable characters, we don't even really know them. This movie is just half done. Sadly they only talk about their motives for doing the deed for about 5 sentences. Jesse's character spouts some hipster teen angst like "people want salmon to die so they can charge their smart phones all day."
OK... I get it. They are misguided kids that want to make a difference. But is it any real surprise to them that someone got killed? And why is it? They act all professional about it, but never does that get mentioned? Your blowing up a Dam, they show all the people camping, and never does it occur to them? There is NO show of hesitancy from the girl character either. To precipitate her change of heart at the end.
Its not as if acts like these are unprecedented, there has been a few crazy activists that took out anti environmental facilities (logging offices) animal testing labs, this sort of thing...
Sad. Its an interesting concept and its done decently but its a story that is unfulfilled. Moving On. 5/10 for sheer disappointment. I came in expecting eco-terrorism and a crazy run from the law, maybe they all settle down in the woods like good little eco friendlies, but no I get a teenage murder drama about ...whatever. I'm done.
Into the Storm (2014)
Pretty Awesome Disaster Movie.
i don't agree with critics being useless, one would like to think that its not ALL a matter of opinion. Now with that being said,
the movie has it's fault mainly in the characters themselves. The storm chasers they were all good characters. The story was cool enough, an incredible storm like no one has ever seen before descends on a small town. The biggest tornado in recorded history. If that doesn't get you interested, then go back to watching TV sitcoms... To say this movie isn't worth seeing, I wonder what you all are talking about. Is your blood truly flowing?
I thought it was fun as hell and it had an unprecedented story, it was suspenseful--- however they didn't follow up with the young filmmakers death and resolve his needless sacrifice IMO. The father and his boys were pretty much cut and dry no particularity to them at all. there was no, hot milf getting with the brothers dad thing, which i thought was in the works---
HOWEVER this movie still stands on it's own as a fantastic summer movie. If you are sitting in a movie theater, and you are not awed by the sound, and the visuals, you my friend are not enjoying movies the right way. If you put yourself in the place of the people in the path, metaphorically speaking, it is a very good movie. I mean, Suspend your critique, until it is over, and immerse yourself in to it. Prepare to see some pretty awesome CGI tornadoes and feel the wrath of mother nature!
as a side note, the boy never did tell that girl Kaylin about his long time crush on her did he? That should have been in it.
Noah (2014)
no character love whatsoever
I usually base my movies on one thing, would I like to see it again someday; this is one of those movies that I really wanted to give a 7 to. However, I can only manage a 5. And that says a lot, there is very little reason for you to love these characters--- Instead of spending money on 3D stuff and wasting precious screen time on creepy rock walker things moving around, they could have added in more history and concretization of the premise, more background on the characters. It just felt like it was "run through the paces" so to speak. Like a prize horse that never actually takes off running. I found this movie just, annoying, because I wanted to enjoy it so much-- but there were things that sort of redeemed it. The alternate timeline (or is it?) was interesting, I wanted more background but it was pretty cut and dry. The people mad about it not being faithful, well, I agree with them kind of. You already had the framework for a great tale. I don't understand why the execution feels so weak, the movie should be fun but it just fails to spark for me.
Anger Management (2003)
The difference between implosive and explosive
This movie was meticulous, hilarious, and precise. Unlike most radical "funny" movies this one actually made sense, all throughout.
But if you consider how popular Buddy Rydell was considered by everyone, it could be seen as believable. In my opinion it was seriously underrated, and one of Sandler's best. Anger Management gave me alot of genuine belly laughs! Dont underestimate Jack Nicholson he will give you a heart attack and an early grave! Oh yes and dont underestimate the experiment he does with destroying implosive behavior, its genuine.
Spun (2002)
somewhat accurate portrayal of heavy drug abuse
The movie is worthy for its depiction of heavy abuse chronic drug usage. I guess one could think of it like a chance to see what their world is like, these people who choose to let drugs totally take over their mind. Of course, there is "addiction" to ponder. But hey, having been over that bridge and back, I think it depends on the strength of will, of that person. The ending was pretty cool, funny. The movie is worthy because of the camera work trying to show what being in the midst of a craving for drugs is like, and really it just succeeds more then most "drug movies" at basically displaying the actual emotion and conversation that people such as these may have, and do. When I first saw this, I was about 10 years younger. Now, having been around the psychotropical block, so to speak, is it far more relevant to me. This being said, it does not stray into the realm of an 8 for me---- Yet. Another viewing somewhere down the road will let me figure that out. Yes it is worthy of seeing, if you can empathize or are curious about this sort of lifestyle.
