The Groundstar Conspiracy (1972)
Peppard's Authority
Peppard is in charge in this one. It's strange. If you watch his flicks you'll see a common theme of friction between Pepe & Authority. If they're not holding him back, they're plotting his downfall. It's Funny to see the person Peppard becomes with that kind of power. Last time Pepe was the boss was in the Carpetbaggers. There's a reason he's not in charge too often.
Newman's Law (1974)
Personal favorite Peppard Flick
Personal favorite Peppard film. It's such a dark flick. Newman lives in a world that is completely against his existence. It becomes abundantly clear that Newman is fighting a losing battle as the movie progresses. No matter what he does or how he moves the world is against him. The loner we know in Peppard is stuck in a word where more than anything he needs a friend. I love the way Peppard carries himself given the circumstance. Yes things are dark. Yes I wish this world was better, but I'm here and I'm going to make the best of it. I'll always love him for doing that.
Man Against the Mob: The Chinatown Murders (1989)
Among Peppard's Best
Best Peppard Flick post A Team I've seen so far. He's happy, the story is fun, and the cast is solid. I can't think of another movie where George is laughing and hugging his costars in the final scene.
