A charming provincial young woman with two kids Varvara meets her love, Alexander, and is going to marry him. But envious people ruin her plans - Alexander becomes a victim of a planned car accident and gets to the hospital in an extremely serious condition. By strange coincidence, his sister Elvira came to visit her brother whom she ignored for many years. Greedy treacherous woman does everything so that her brother does not recover, intending to become his only heir. Slandering Varvara, Elvira sets Alexander's friends and colleagues against her, prevents her from seeing him in the hospital, drives her out to the street with her children and makes plans for her brother's money. Varvara is restless and desperate, but deep inside she knows her love will help her fiance. Fragile, but strong in spirit, will she be able to resist treachery and deceit, restore her good name and - most importantly - get her loved one back?

The story of Varvara, whom the audience loved so much for her kindness, sincerity, and the ability to love, continues.. Having overcome all the obstacles, the heroes resume preparing for the wedding. However at the very last moment fate deceives them again. Varvara's husband Mikhail, caring of his reputation as a politician, does everything to delay the divorce. Using the heroine's credulity, Mikhail draws her into dirty political games, trying to undermine the trust of her fiance. Meanwhile Alexander's ex-wife Nina re-appears in his life, determined to return the "best man of her life".
