Definitely an entertainer with it's Wacky animation and story telling
So much better than the previous Tom and Jerry tales.
It's just a pleasure to see it after watching Tom and Jerry tales.
I admit it's not as good as the original classic and there are some bad and totally terrible episodes I had to sit through but it still gets the job done with some laughs with it's wacky animation and story.
It's Not that bad as a lot of people thinks.

The Only Reboot i accepted
It brings back the characters to their violent slapstick origin, its also well animated using a flash digital style tho its not as good, the season 1 sucked, the newer ones are actuallh enjoyable except the other one besides the house like the magic, detective, scientist house or smth.
Afterall its a pretty good show, not as dissapointing as T&J Comedy Show,Gene deitch's era or the tom and jerry show 1980.

Disappointing but not at all bad
After one of my fav cartoons ever, Tom & Jerry Tales, the masterminds at Cartoon Network/Boomerang decided to make a plastic-y looking spin-off. Whilst i like the animation on Bunnicula, New Looney Toons and Taffy (which is the same/ similar) on this is bothers me due to the fact i got so used to the old look. At first, Tom And Jerry Tales also bothered me but i easily got used to it due to the atmosphere the show had and the lively feel it had that its predecessor, Tom And Jerry Kids didn't have, and neighter does this. The witch setting is way better than the house setting but it still feels way to bright and other shows like Bunnicula know how to tone it down when it needs to but The Tom & Jerry Show doesn't and it really needs to.

Tom and Jerry back to their finest
While Tom and Jerry tales is better on story telling and location, this one has better music and better slapstick. I love that William Hanna's vocals are used for this as it makes it nostalgia and very funny.
Tom and Jerry show is cheap
Yeah this type of idea of a guy who created Ren and Stimpy is something you really didn't expect to turn out to be like this I'll give some credit for giving some good slapstick and story concept but most of the animation is done too cheap by using Flash animation making it less and less of a classic show and more of a different cartoon even though there's some good things in it a lot of it doesn't seem to be done right but like you'd expect Tom and Jerry classic films will always outstand the Reboots. (But not the Tom and Jerry Tales version that one was pretty good)

Not as good as the original ones
A big disappointment, but not that bad
As far as the classic, iconic cat and mouse duo go, The Tom and Jerry Show is not in the same league as any of the MGM (1940-1958) shorts, a vast majority of which being cartoon classics, but it is far more watchable than every single one of the Gene Deitch cartoons, all but two being abominations, and the worst of Chuck Jones' hit and miss output. And as far as shows airing on Boomerang go, it's neither among the best or worst, it's no original Looney Tunes, original Tom and Jerry or Scooby-Doo but it's better than The Looney Tunes Show, Sonic Boom and the Inspector Gadget reboot.
The Tom and Jerry Show is heavily flawed and hugely disappointing, but does have its moments. The music is lively and characterful and does try to stay to the style of the style of the classic cartoons, with energetic pacing and appealing instrumentation, no crude or going-through-the-motions scoring here. A good job too is done with the sound effects and the expressions of the characters, and the classic Tom and Jerry characters are mostly kept intact, Tom is still easy to root for, even for a 'predatory' character played for laughs, and Spike has some amusing moments. The slapstick is never as well-paced or imaginative as the original cartoons but there are times where it is fun and it doesn't veer on sadistic like the Gene Deitch cartoons did. The detective stories are very inspired and it was nice to see a different side to Tom and Jerry, which is one of the laudable things of The Tom and Jerry Show, for while it may not be a great show overall it does try to stay loyal to the formula and also attempts to do things different.
Where The Tom and Jerry falls down mainly is in the animation style and a lot of the humour. Apart from the expressions of the characters, the flashy animation just looks cheap and lazy, looking more flat or over-saturated than vibrant, backgrounds are scrappy and lack detail and the characters often look rough. The problem with the humour is not that it's predictable, but more that the execution of a lot of it feels very half-baked and the timing is far too rushed, almost like the show was going for quantity for quality by trying to fit in as many gags as possible without giving enough thought to their execution. There is even some gross out humour incorporated, like in the episodes featuring the witch characters, and it seemed rather juvenile and out of place. Apart from the detective stories, the stories suffer from too hurried pacing, lack of imagination and flat material. Too many of the secondary characters are annoyingly punchable, Jerry while sometimes amusing is also like that a good deal of the time in the occasions when his treatment of Tom goes too far and Toodles, an adorable character before, is similarly obnoxious. The show also boasts a talented voice cast, but all of them have done much better work and few distinguish themselves.
Overall, has its moments and is not that bad but for Tom and Jerry this was a huge disappointment. 5/10 Bethany Cox

Not bad. It's really good
When I first saw commercials of this, I thought it looked lame. But I watched about 5 episodes online and they turn out to be really nice. I watch it on TV at times. Its Really entertaining and funny. I don't like the animation much but it's still not that bad. Tom and Jerry are still funny as usual, Toodles/Tuffy still looks cute, and I really love Spike. He is a Brave but dumb dog. I also like how they have some new supporting characters who make more than one appearance every once in a while.
Overall it's very nice and don't listen to these haters who I'm sure have only watched one episode.

... Did you Really Expect Anything Else?
Seriously, after years of cheap flash animation replacing cel and CGI on the CN airwaves, did you really expect Warner Bros to honor the legacy of the late great William Hanna and Joseph Barbera? Did you really expect them to make a clever slapstick-powered comedy cartoon that DIDN'T cut corners to lower costs?
I only saw the first episode, and I'm very disappointed. Gone is the well-thought out comedy that made Hanna and Barbera's classic shorts genius, to be replaced by half-baked gags that miss every opportunity to make me laugh. Gone is the exaggerated style of Hanna, Barbera, and even Chuck Jones, to be replaced by the same watered-down flash animation Warner Bros execs have a fetish for. It is not a good sign when a college student with little more than colored paper, a tripod-mounted camera, and limited stop-motion programming can make a more entertaining short than a show produced by one of the wealthiest cinema companies in the world.
I would comment more on the writing, as no doubt people are thinking, "But cartoons don't need to be well-animated to be good, just well-written," if not for the fact that this animation is so lazy that it's distracting. When Tom was making trouble for Spike (the dog), all I was thinking was, "That hand fan from three scenes ago kept changing shape..." In a slapstick cartoon, good animation is a must if one wants to properly convey the hyperactive antics of one's characters, something Warner Bros seems to have forgotten.
What I can say on the writing is that it's far less family-friendly than the originals. Yes, the originals had Tom smoking and setting up death traps and chasing girl cats, but he can get away with that since he's the pseudo-villain of the duo. And, at the end of each episode, he always got his just desserts. Here, however, Tom's underhanded tactics and morally wrong behavior actually win out over the innocent and well-meaning Spike, who is punished not once but TWICE for Tom's actions. What kind of message does THAT send: that it's okay to wreck your house and make a mess of the tableware as long as you have a scapegoat to pin the blame on?
Also, Tom no longer has the same yell. ... Oh God, it's Tom and Jerry The Movie all over again!

Easily the best modern take on a classic series
The Tom and Jerry Show is a 2014 T.V series and is spin-off to the original cartoon. Is it as good as the first? No. Is it better than those stupid spin-offs like the Looney Tunes show and teen titans go? Hell yeah!
Not only is this show good, unlike Looney tunes (Who had went downhill greatly) is faithful to their original cartoon. Despite the lazy animation, I think this is Cartoon networks greatest modern cartoon excluding Regular show and the upcoming Sonic boom show.
And yes, Tom's yell had not changed so i highly think Tom and Jerry fans and everyone else so give this show a try, after all,it beats Looney tunes and teen titans go.
Clearly you can tell Cartoon Network was watching the original T&J before making this so Kudos to them.

Better than the original!
This edition is true to the original series.
The producers really got it right. In a lot of episodes Tom and Jerry are more friends than enemies which is refreshing.
Butch and his son are in a lot more of the episodes which is welcome. In the original series they did not appear enough.
The audio of Tom screaming either with surprise or in pain carries over from the original series.
Just about all of the other major characters from the original series are also in this one.
I look forward to another season.

Apparently Warner had no animation budget for the show. Am I right?
I've recently reviewed The Looney Tunes Show and Wabbit/New Looney Tunes, and again, I have to bring up the animation here: It stinks. The characters look like cheap flat cutouts of their original designs--even that Tom & Jerry/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie spin-off had better animation than the show. How is it still going (if at all)? Again, I have to bring up how cartoons are like culinary dishes in a way: We have to find it visually "appetizing" before anything else.
The Tom and Jerry Show (2014) is anything but visually "appetizing." It's a mixture of a heartburn and an eyesore.

Such an awesome Tom & Jerry version!
In this version, they look really adorable and very cuddly that I want to hug! Now I want to watch this version 24/7! I will always forgive them for adding any SFX I don't want to hear! Once, I forgive them for adding a rooster noise I hate in "Cat-a-tonic Mouse". But I will always watch this show on TV forever just like Mixels! I am proud that this show is now so popular! I even liked the New York version Tom & Jerry in New York of it!

It is Tom & Jerry after all
What was once a shining beacon of hope for some creativity turned out to be another misguided attempt at a great cartoon.
The moment I heard of The Tom and Jerry Show, I honestly thought that there was finally going to be a creative team working on Tom and Jerry. I honestly thought that team would put in care, and effort. I though that team would give us back the tom and Jerry cartoons all animation fans used to worship. BOY did I get my hopes way to high up! Look I can understand that it's not wise to live in nostalgia, but with the crappy cartoons people put on television these days it's hard not to think back then of the good old days of animation. It's unfortunate that this ended up being another piece of crap.
I' will be blunt. The animation is crap! This is really annoying because Tom and Jerry was always known for having low budget animation in their shorts. But the reason why it's annoying is because Tom and Jerry used their low budget animation to its full potential. This show doesn't try at all. I've seen better uses of flash animation in other shows.
The comedy in the show is insulting. They make every joke obvious as hell. Isn't the point of a comedy to be surprising with the jokes? You know, make sure no one sees them coming. The slapstick is just bad, and it becomes atrocious when you compare to its older cartoon predecessors. Tom and Jerry Tales did even better than this show at slapstick. The Funny thing is that Tom and Jerry Tales is known for having a lot acquired taste jokes!
In the end this isn't a bad cartoon. In fact it was almost a decently good show if it weren't for one particular criticism. THE POTENTIAL CRITICISM! This is a BAD criticism, especially for anything animated! This critique explains that the show knows it can do better, but to make things worse it shoves it in your face all the time! It's in every episode! THREE episodes particularly stand out in my mind. Episode 17(Domestic Kingdom), and Episode 22(Pipeline; and No Brain, No Gain). I had an immense amount of hope for this show to honor Hanna-Barbera for their legacy on the animation industry, but all we got an insult! An Insult, and a sad excuse for good cartoon comedy.

Idiotic violent cartoon, unfunny, pathetic
This has never been a good cartoon. Some time post 70's they messed it up even worse with bad drawings. But the stories remain the same unfunny, violent nonsense. Whichever ones you show me, the early ones or the newer ones, ever even liked it as a kid. It's a terrible idea for a cartoon. They speak bad of millennials but these cartoon's were always terrible, back in the 50's or even before, all they do with Popeye, Beep-Beep Coyote, Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny etc. Is always shoot each other in the face, bomb each other frazzled and black, beat each other across the head, the bill falls off, put it back, and it's non-stop violence. Not only is it annoying to watch as a little kid or even now, it's stupid and not amusing. There's very few normal cartoons shown on Saturday morning, the good ones aren't it. Just bad!

It's just such a terrible show. It really is. From bad animation to gags to music to pretty much everything. Please don't let this show fool you and throw it in the trash can and then after that just watch Tom and Jerry tales and call it a day.
