Image and direction of the actors are very weak. An embarrassing movie with an accumulation of faults. Poorly calibrated sound. Often you can't understand actors. Scenes that require psychoanalytical deconstruction of the director: the woman who orgasms under stress (which is a topos of a rape impulse)... The female character -Cass- who dies (and assimilates) in Anx's mother's bed... In short, a very poor and sickly script, with no secondary characters and no richness. A waste of time. At the end, there are children who (as the scenario suggests) will adapt to the new environment, but they are never mentioned or announced in the course of the movie. A lot of money invested for a film too ugly to be released in cinemas, because of an old, inexperienced director, whose camera choices are often haphazard. So, a narcissistic and perverse movie, desperately trying to plagiarize SF scenes and structures, while hiding behind the repeated and providential "personal vision" label. The female character of Cassandre "Cass" has no existence other than to be the director's fantasized projection of a dominated feminine: she faces an apocalypse and, apart from the information that she works for polyhandicapped persons (so self-righteous), the screenplay doesn't give her any family or friends, brother or parents; whereas the character of Anx (the "anxious",... immature wordplay throughout the movie..., how can anyone seriously write today such a weak scenario), may be suffering from the loss of his mother. In short, what an unequal and limited vision - the opposite of a complex and intelligent movie! A movie written by a man with no concern for others or for women, who serves only as a fantasy of his own sexual dissatisfaction (which is the film's opening scene). The "love" is the dominant male's way of calming his anxieties (closet scene). Male gaze everywhere. This film tilts between Z, experimental, sci-fi and Lynch, of which it is merely a microscopic, immature plagiarism. What's more, in these experimental moments, it's not even a vision of a director but a trip made for pure ease with banal Fx AI image generators, seen a hundred times. The film begins and ends with AI-generated images that lack originality and personality - with fractals - philosophy for dummies - when at the very beginning and end you're asking for something personal. If it were merely megalomaniacal, it wouldn't be a flaw, but this is a poorly written, hyper-pretentious film with no philosophical merit. Evrything is cringe, like the "bigbrotherhood" (what a subtle)... dum and cringe.
