The piano heard on Derek & The Dominoes’ “Layla” and other classic rock staples is set to hit the auction block this week.

Eaton & Brennan Auctions’ Hit Factory Collection auction, starting today, features items and memorabilia from the famed New York studio, most notably the Baldwin grand piano that featured on the 1970 hit “Layla.”

“Steeped in music history, the piano bears copious markings from its use by legendary musicians, including unique scratches beneath its ‘Baldwin’ nameplate,” Eaton & Brennan Auctions said of the instrument.

As basketball icon LeBron James, 39, enters his 22nd NBA season, people are curious how the athlete is staying in shape with age.

In a new Netflix docuseries entitled Starting 5, which explores the lives of the NBA’s five most dominant figures through the 2023-24 season, reporters comment that James’ athleticism has only seemed to improve over the years.

Speaking in the docuseries, James reflected, “I’m surprised at myself at this point…I’m not tired…my dedication to my work I think is a huge part of the reason why I am still able to play at this level.”

Germany’s UFA Group has brought in a senior Netflix exec, as part of a management re-org.

Natalie Clausen has been named COO of the Fremantle-owned German production giant, and will join its management board on February 19.

She was most recently Senior Production Manager for German-speaking countries, working on productions such as The Empress, Kleo and Liebskind. Prior to Netflix, she worked on big-ticket German shows such as Babylon Berlin and UFA shows Charité and Deutschland 89.

She’ll report to UFA CEO Sascha Schwingel, who took on his role in September. Schwingel replaced Nico Hofmann, who had been with the Generation War maker for more than 25 years.

Clearly, the restructuring didn’t end there, and the addition of Clausen will “provide valuable input to create even more space for creativity in a flexible, lean organization and with the clever use of technology,” according to Schwingel.

The 27th edition of the Fantasia International Film Festival is set to run from from July 20th through August 9th at the Concordia Hall Cinema in Montreal, with additional screens at the Cinémathèque québécoise and Cinéma du Musée. Back from a three-and-a-half month break (!), Alaska Daily (2.8 mil/0.2) was right on part with its fall finale (2.5 mil/0.2) and its fall averages (2.9 mil/0.2).

I've said before that "The Last of Us" is best when using flashbacks and fleshing out the world by straying a bit from the main plot. The ratings for Thursday, February 17, 2023, are in, and while there was some good news for some shows, there was bad news for others.

Fox kicked off its revamped Thursday night schedule, and the results were mixed.

Next Level Chef delivered 1.9 million viewers and a 0.3 rating in the demo -- down considerably from its Super Bowl lead-in on Sunday.

But the numbers were still decent for an unscripted series.

Animal Control opened with 2.1 million viewers and a 0.3 rating.

The series was a significant improvement on its predecessor Welcome to Flatch.

Call Me Kat followed with 1.5 million viewers and a 0.3 rating.

CBS went with Young Sheldon (7.1 million/0.6 rating), Ghosts (6.4 million/0.6 rating), and CSI: Vegas (2.9 million viewers/0.2 rating).

The numbers for CSI mark new series lows for the series, which isn't good news as we inch toward upfronts.

NBC's Law & Order franchise was relatively stable, with the original series posting 4.6 million/0.5 rating,...

Grimes told Soap Hub in 2022 she wasn’t into sports as a child because “acting took up so much” of her time. However, these days, she incorporates fitness into her life.

For example, she loves rock climbing. “I used to work as a rock-climbing instructor … really connected me to my body for the first time in my life,” Grimes said. “It’s such physical work, but it’s also a puzzle.

When Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) first arrived in Genoa City, she had her heart set on a certain Newman. Audra wanted to reunite with her ex-boyfriend Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), but he turned her down. With Noah out of the picture, Audra could make Adam her new conquest.

But Sally’s problems keep piling. As reported by Soaps.com, on the Feb. 3 episode of The Young and the Restless, Sally revealed the doctor was worried about her high-blood pressure.

CBS | Young Sheldon (with 7.2 million total viewers and a 0.6 rating) is looking at its second-best audience of the season, Ghosts (6.8 mil/0.6) and the newly renewed So Help Me Todd (5.1 mil/0.4) both hit series highs in audience, and CSI: Vegas (3.7 mil/0.4) rose to season highs in both measures.
