Ana de Armas has always been one to dress in all-black, a clear representation of her style, which often blends sophistication with a touch of sensuality. At the opening of the Louis Vuitton flagship store on 57th Street in New York City, Ana showcased her signature flair, leading the pack of A-list stars, including Bradley Cooper, Cynthia Erivo, and Jennifer Connelly.
The Louis Vuitton ambassador has a penchant for classic styles with feminine silhouettes and monochromatic color palettes. She typically radiates a sense of carefree flair and a hint of vintage Old Hollywood glamour, all consistent with the refinement, elegance, and glitz Louis Vuitton is known for.

Elizabeth Olsen has perhaps become best known for playing the McU's Scarlet Witch (and earning a legion of fans who call her "mother"). However, she's always balanced her superhero role with indie projects rather than booking parts in big-budget blockbusters and franchises.
Chris Evans, for example, hasn't managed to strike such an effective balance; while he was praised for his work in Knives Out, The Gray Man, Ghosted, and Red One haven't worked out particularly well for him. In contrast, Olsen has had a terrific year with critically acclaimed performances in His Three Daughters and The Assessment, two movies which couldn't be any further from the MCU.
Talking to Vulture, the WandaVision star explained that while her Marvel role allows her to make passion projects like those, that's far from the only reason she's still playing the Scarlet Witch.

Chris Evans played Steve Rogers / Captain America throughout the first three phases of the MCU. After sacrificing years of his life to save people, Rogers makes a personal choice for himself at the end of Avengers: Endgame. However, unlike his character, Evans has yet to make the right choice for himself, particularly in selecting good roles.

Evans’ post-mcu box office only has one hit, Knives Out, where he played the villain Hugh “Ransom” Drysdale (not including the Deadpool & Wolverine cameo). He mostly chose direct-to-home releases after Endgame, most of which were not critics’ favorites.

Movies made by committee, where confused tones and tangents compete for dominance, at least offer some compelling friction in their chaos. Movies made by focus groups, like Red One, enter into a bland Fake Movie canon dominated by Netflix’s wannabe blockbusters. These movies—starring former superhero actors and/or...

Love is blind. When in love, one sees no differences or flaws in the bias of one’s beloved. When it comes to love, age is just a number. This rings true for Hollywood dreamboat Chris Evans and his wife, Portuguese actress Alba Baptista. Chris Evans discusses his past doubts about Marvel and the surprising journey that followed (Photo Credit – Instagram)
It’s hard to imagine now, but at one point, Chris Evans wasn’t sure about jumping into the Marvel universe. Yep, Captain America himself is hesitant about being part of the MCU. Unbelievable, right? However, as Evans neared the end of his contract with Marvel in 2016, he had a significant change of heart. Reflecting on his journey, Evans admitted, “I would have been stupid not to do this. I mean, can you imagine? Kicking myself—I’d never forgive myself!”
At the time, Evans had two more projects left on his Marvel slate: Avengers: Infinity War and its follow-up. Yet, despite nearing the end of his contract, he made it crystal clear: “If Marvel wants me, they got me.” And let’s be honest—what else could he say? The MCU had wholly transformed his career,...

Jake Kasdan’s festive punch-up is the latest Christmas film to arrive in cinemas – but could it be one of the last?
Ahead of its release in the UK this week, Amazon MGM’s Red One has a few mountains to climb.
Originally scheduled for a Christmas 2023 release, the $250m film was pushed back by a year, reportedly due to the Hollywood strikes. Then, in April, an incendiary The Wrap article alleged star Dwayne Johnson cost the studio $50m by arriving on set seven-to-eight hours late – charges the film’s director and producer have both strenuously denied. A trailer debut in June prompted the Guardian headline: “Will The Rock’s Red One be the worst Christmas movie ever?”. The film’s review embargo lifted at 5am the day of its UK release, coincidentally ensuring any questionable publicity was buried under the rather more pressing news circulating the morning of the 6th November.

The North Pole has fallen and Santa’s been red-napped in a good-humoured festive action flick. Here’s our Red One review.
They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore. After watching the festive PR car-crash that’s followed Jake Kasdan’s original action-adventure blockbuster, it’s not hard to see why.
First, Red One’s December 2023 release was pushed back by nearly a year, reportedly due to the SAG-AFTRA strike which began a full five months after shooting had wrapped. Then, a bombshell The Wrap article alleged Dwayne Johnson ballooned the film’s budget by turning up to set seven-to-eight hours late – allegations Kasdan and producer Hiram Garcia have both strenuously denied, but not before Johnson’s “hardest-worker-on-set” reputation disappeared halfway down the bottles he inexplicably pees in.
Six months on from Johnson-gate, the world’s sharpest pens feel poised for a stinker – if they’re even poised at all.

“The Electric State” is alive.
The new sci-fi adventure, from Anthony and Joe Russo (the directors of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame”), stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt — and you can get a first look at the wild, robot-filled world in the brand-new trailer out Thursday. Watch it below.
The movie, based on the graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag (whose work also inspired the Prime Video series “Tales From the Loop”), takes place in an alternate 1990s that has survived a robot uprising that started when the animatronics developed by Walt Disney for Disneyland gained sentience. Now the robots live in exile.
Brown plays Michelle, an orphaned teenager living in this post-apocalyptic society, whose missing brother makes contact with her via a robot. She hires a smuggler named Keats (Pratt) to help get her across the wasteland and find her brother, all while discovering the mystery behind his disappearance.

The Russo Brothers may be readying their MCU second coming as we speak, but before the filmmaking duo get stuck into Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars' multiversal madness, they've still one more non-ip blockbuster up their sleeves yet. Based on Simon Stålenhag's visually striking 2018 graphic novel, The Electric State — whose mega ensemble includes Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, and Woody Harrelson among many, many others — is a Netflix bound, blockbuster sci-fi fantasy set in an alternate version of the 90s where man and AI went to war. We know — how far fetched! Boasting robots, wigs, and post-apocalyptic wasteland vistas galore, it's a far cry from the grittier, more grounded fare the Russos have endeavoured to make with post-Endgame joints Cherry and The Gray Man. Check out the newly released first images from the movie below:
Now there's a movie that looks like it was made by the Russos!

In our world, the 1990s were a time of enormous change: the arrival of the internet, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the first baby boomer President of the United States. In the world of The Electric State, the ’90s were even more of an upheaval: The emergence of robotic artificial intelligence led to an enormous war between man and machine. Years later, an uneasy peace has settled in — but it may not last for long.

The hot talk of the town, Ana de Armas is all set to make her debut in the John Wick universe with her upcoming Ballerina – a piece that sounds like it could soon have her career skyrocketing even further. Over the years since she debuted in Hollywood, the Cuban-Spanish stunner has scored enough groundbreaking roles to establish herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.

While this includes bagging some really top-notch roles, with her upcoming role in Ballerina another significant addition to the list, de Armas has also commendably managed to become an Academy Award contender during the mere first decade of her career in Hollywood. This, of course, means she has a substantial net worth as well, considering how quickly she has launched herself to become a household name in Hollywood.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been such a coveted hub of entertainment that it’s either the place where everyone is or everyone wants to be. The popularity of the franchise comes with its own perks, as you get access to unlimited resources, and people from every country that has an accessible film theater become familiar with your work. But it has its downsides because the franchise works like a conveyor belt and every project has a stupid deadline that stifles creativity. And since a lot of directors are in there, sometimes for very long periods of time, it’s interesting to see how the process of making a Marvel project has affected their vision and whether that change is palpable in their post-mcu career. Jon Favreau made the amazing Chef and then went right into the conveyor belt with Disney remakes and Star Wars’ Mandalorian IP. James Gunn made the fantastic The Suicide Squad.

The fourth season of Netflix’s mega-corny romance drama has arrived and with it, the returning trio of Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, and a new third wheel. Emily in Paris keeps refueling the fans’ yearly dosage of love caffeine with the will-they-won’t-they status between the star-crossed lovers as wrong timing and misunderstandings keep getting in their way.

Ana de Armas is all set to star in Ron Howard’s survival thriller Eden. While the film has been receiving mixed reviews since its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, its main appeal seems to be the synergy of de Armas, Sydney Sweeney, and Vanessa Kirby.
The three actresses have been extremely popular in the past few years and have established themselves as the ‘it’ girls of Hollywood. Ana de Armas even teased her character would have a ‘crazy threesome relationship’ in the upcoming film, which will definitely get fans into the cinemas.

The Russo brothers’ hugely expensive sci-fi adventure The Electric State is reportedly due to stream on Netflix in March 2025.
Joe and Anthony Russo have been lured back into the Marvel machine with the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, but the filmmaking brothers are still finishing work on their sci-fi adventure The Electric State for Netflix.
Buried in a tangentially related story over at Deadline is the news that The Electric State is scheduled for release on Netflix in March 2025 – which sounds about right, given that initial filming on the movie reportedly wrapped in February 2023.
Production on the movie, adapted from the 2018 illustrated novel of the same name, is said to have been somewhat troubled, however. Per World Of Reel, the shoot had to be paused in October 2022 when a crewmember died in an accident unrelated to the production itself; there was also a round of reshoots which reportedly took place in the...

The Mission: Impossible franchise is the pinnacle of action cinema in Hollywood. There’s nobody in the North American film industry who’s doing it like Christopher McQuarrie, Tom Cruise, and everyone that’s ready to put their lives on the line for these two maniacs. That said, there are many who want to copy them without really putting in the effort that’s necessary to create memorable action sequences that feel tangible and realistic as hell. Recently, we got Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which lifted scenes from the M:i franchise via the cheapest-looking visual effects available to mankind. Prime Video products such as Jack Ryan, Role Play, and Citadel have tried to do the same and failed every time. Netflix has been throwing millions of dollars at anyone and everyone so that they can have their very own spy franchise. As a result, we have some of the...

“Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” has been retitled with a full-tilt pivot. The next Avengers films will be “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” and they will both be directed by the Russo Brothers.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo are uniting with Marvel Studios once again to helm the next superhero team-up feature. On Saturday evening, they made their return official by taking the stage at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H to thunderous applause.
“When we directed ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ we really believed it was the end for us in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” said Joe Russo to the crowd. “That four-movie run was incredible, and it left us creatively spent.” However, in the time since, the duo found a “very special story” that convinced them to come back. In fact, “it’s the biggest story that Marvel comics ever told. It’s the reason that Anthony and I are standing up here.

Earlier this week, we learned that Marvel Studios is in talks with filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo to helm both Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars.
While the duo responsible for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame have previously said they wouldn't be free to work on an MCU project until the end of the decade, the duo's Agbo-produced content has been a tad hit-or-miss.
Cherry starring Tom Holland wasn't the Oscar frontrunner many expected and blockbuster TV shows and movies like Citadel and The Gray Man received similarly tepid responses. Arguably the only real hit has been Netflix's Extraction movies.
As a result, a return to the Avengers franchise benefits them just as much as it does Marvel Studios.
With so much talk of superhero fatigue, Kevin Feige can't risk the two-part conclusion to the Multiverse Saga being anything other than excellent.

Alright, as you know, late in the day yesterday, in a Marvel shocker, the Anthony and Joe Russo, aka Russo Brothers, are coming back to Marvel, and potentially in a big way. Having left Marvel Studios to create their own studio, Agbo, and released their own blockbusters like “The Gray Man,” it was thought the Russos had graduated and moved on to focus on their own IP.

The numbers don’t lie. When Joe and Anthony Russo are at the helm of an “Avengers” movie, it means money in the bank. Their “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” remain the sixth and second highest-grossing motion pictures of all time. Sure, there are a lot of mitigating factors in there—like how those two titles were the culmination of an interconnected series of storylines with cast members that audiences grew with for a decade—but considering how Marvel has had a tremendous amount of trouble getting their next “Avengers” project off the ground, bringing these two fellas back into the fold seems like the smart thing to do.
As such, Variety has reported that they are likely to sign on to direct what was originally called “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” slated for 2026, and “Avengers: Secret Wars” for 2027. The “Kang” project was going to be focused on Jonathan Majors...

Anthony and Joe Russo, the directorial team responsible for Marvel’s biggest box office hits, are reportedly in talks to return to helm the upcoming Avengers films.

Marvel’s lengthy search for the directors of its next two “Avengers” movies might have finally reached its endgame.
The Hollywood Reporter and Variety say that Joe and Anthony Russo have entered talks with the studio to direct the next two films in the franchise. Marvel had previously announced that the studio’s Phase 6 slate of films would end with the movies “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” in 2026 and “Avengers: Secret Wars” in 2027. The former film was supposed to focus on Jonathan Majors’ villainous character Kang the Conqueror, who appeared in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and five episodes of “Loki” and was being positioned as the primary antagonist in subsequent story arcs. Marvel parted ways with Majors following the guilty verdict in his assault and harassment trial in December 2023, but has yet to comment on whether the role will be recast or if the next “Avengers” film will still be titled “The Kang Dynasty.

As it puts the final touches on its big Hall H presentation for next week’s Comic Con, Marvel Studios looks to have already made plans to bring back its largest-grossing directing duo in a big way.

Talks for the pair to direct those films are still in early stages, but the plan would be for them to be involved in both films.

Joe and Anthony Russo, who propelled “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame” to stratospheric box office heights, may return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The filmmaking brothers are in early talks to direct 2026’s “Avengers” movie (formerly titled “The Kang Dynasty”) and 2027’s “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which will conclude the Multiverse Saga of the MCU. The films will presumably be connected, à la the two-part story of 2018’s “Infinity War” and 2019’s “Endgame.”

As a wise purple-faced Titan once kinda said (in a trailer at least), "Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but this does put a smile on our faces." In news we can guarantee absolutely none of us saw coming, it looks like the McU's prodigal directorial sons Anthony and Joe Russo are getting ready for a hell of a comeback. According to THR, the duo behind Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and the one-two Infinity Saga ending punch that was Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are in early talks to helm upcoming superhero team-ups Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars.
In recent weeks, we've heard reports that Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy may have been the man to replace Destin Daniel Cretton in the hotseat for Avengers 5 (formerly sub-titled The Kang Dynasty). But now, after months of searching, it...
