Somewhat disappointing that HK cinema is going in this direction.
This movie is stale, and colorless. Much like many of the newer Hong Kong movies are these days. Chicks aren't nearly the caliber of the stars of the '90s. Gambling scenes are reduced to the level of playing mahjong at home. What happened to the days of God of Gamblers ?
Is the movie targeted for mainland China market ? The approach looks very different from HK movies of the past.
If this is the direction Hong Kong cinema is going, then it's a sad affair, and if Wong Jin can't make an entertaining movie, then something is wrong.
Overall, the movie has no impact, and is best left unseen.
