Yung Miami raised eyebrows on the very first day of New York Fashion Week. The 30-year-old attended a runway show in a sheer ankle-length dress covered in black “A’s.” Some of her followers interpreted the style selection as a statement regarding her connection to Diddy. Since she wore the dress on Friday, Yung Miami has opted for more refined looks at her media events.

Demi Moore doesn’t really want more “Ghost.”
The actress told Variety that after it was announced in 2023 that Channing Tatum was set to produce a remake of the Oscar-winning 1990 film, she had her own doubts.
“There are some films better left alone,” Moore said. “But it depends on what the take is. […] Channing is incredibly intelligent and talented — who knows what he would bring to it if it happened.”
Moore starred alongside Patrick Swayze in the acclaimed romance-drama that centered on a widow (Moore) who is visited by the spirit of her husband (Swayze) after he is murdered. Whoopi Goldberg won the Academy Award for playing a psychic who helps solve the case. “Ghost” earned five Academy Award nominations, garnering another win for Best Original Screenplay.
“The success of ‘Ghost’ is really about alchemy,” “The Substance” star Moore said. “Think about Whoopi, who anchored the comedy in a magical way.

Exclusive: A petition calling for Dominique Boutonnat — the President of France’s cinema board — to be dismissed is rapidly circulating among French industry professionals and has clocked over 500 signatures in its first few hours of publication.
The petition was launched by an anonymous group of activists Sunday afternoon who have said they belong to several French industry unions, including Collectif 50/50 and Cgt Spectacle. The petition is private, so it is not possible to see who has signed. But the total number now sits at 523. We understand members of the unofficial collective are also discussing whether to escalate their efforts with talks of launching a physical protest outside the Cnc tomorrow in Paris currently on the table.

We all think we know Seth Rogen. He’s the stoner king, the oversized kid fighting off adulthood, the comedy icon that Judd Apatow built almost from scratch after the two met just before the turn of the millennium on the set of the woefully short-lived NBC series “Freaks and Geeks.” Yes, Rogen is all these things, but to limit his influence strictly to his talents as a funnyman is to wrongly shortchange him. At the not-so-advanced age of 40, the actor who was born on April 15, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia is also a prolific writer and producer of product on screens big and small. He even co-wrote an episode of “The Simpsons.”
Moreover, the Rogen that audiences saw in “The Fabelmans” from director and co-writer Steven Spielberg bears little resemblance to the Rogen who entered the zeitgeist in such fun-loving, maturity-challenged raunchfests as “Superbad” and “Pineapple Express” more than a decade ago.

New Wave of Accusations Ignites MeToo Reckoning in France: ‘Women Are Fed Up. The Anger Is Enormous’
France’s film industry is undergoing a new MeToo reckoning, dominating news cycles, policy debates and even the goodie bag of the Cesar Awards’ nominees dinner, which included a flyer headlined, “The cultural sector together against sexist and sexual violence.”
The French #MeToo movement also made its way into the Berlinale, where actor Nora Hamzawi said that director Jacques Doillon’s upcoming film “Third Grade” — in which Hamzawi stars — shouldn’t be released due to the sexual misconduct allegations recently filed against the filmmkaker.
France’s major producers guilds have also issued a statement demanding the National Film Board (Cnc) and the Minister of Culture to put specific guidelines in place. Those demands include the appointment of “experts specialized in the prevention and management of sexual violence to set up a safe environment at the start of every shoot;” additional resources for organizations fighting sexual misconduct; and setting up an...

While some of his jokes haven’t always aged well among some audiences, Seth Rogen, now 39, certainly has. The comedian has racked up hit after hit, starting with the cult favorite series “Freaks and Geeks” in 1999. After minor roles in “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” to “The 40 Year-Old Virgin,” Rogen proved his leading man prowess with 2007’s “Knocked Up,” followed immediately by the critically acclaimed high-school comedy “Superbad.” Rogen’s affable straight-man persona continued in “Pineapple Express,” “This Is the End,” and “Neighbors,” with more dramatic roles including “50/50,” “Take This Waltz,” and “An American Pickle” adding to Rogen’s prolific and well-rounded career.
As for how some of his sometimes foul-mouthed, politically incorrect comedies have withstood the test of time, Rogen said on “Good Morning Britain” that it’s simply “the nature of comedy” for some humor, especially of his button-pushing variety, to curdle as time progresses...

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, you’ll no doubt find a number of genre outlets running lists of horror movies to watch for the most romantic day of the year. Warm Bodies is likely to appear on most if not all of them, but there’s another reason to revisit the 2013 film this year: Lionsgate is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray and Digital) edition in Steelbook packaging, available exclusively at Best Buy.
I realize Twilight is practically a pejorative on a horror site, but we probably wouldn’t have Warm Bodies if sparkling vampires hadn’t paved the way. Both films are coming-of-age romances with monsters based on young adult books. Warm Bodies has the added benefit of the proliferation of zombies in pop culture heralded by The Walking Dead, plus a sense of humor akin to Shaun of the Dead or Zombieland.

It feels just like last month we were complimenting Hulu on its true crime offerings. Well, with its list of new releases for February 2023, Hulu is staying in the true crime lane. Suppose that’ll happen when you push back the release date of a series or two.
February sees the arrival of three notable true crime series on Hulu. Taiwan Crime Stories premieres on Feb. 1 and presents four true tales from Taiwan’s criminal “dark underbelly.” That will be followed by ABC News Studios’ Killing County on Feb. 3. That three-episode series ponders the question “what happens when police kill?” The most interesting true crime offering premieres on Feb. 9. That’s when Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence College shares its four-episode saga of Larry Ray and the young college students he victimized.

February can be a weird month. It’s too late to wish anyone “Happy New Year,” late enough to abandon resolutions, and too early to leave the house if you want to avoid getting caught in nasty weather (even in Los Angeles).
This month also marks the third and final season of Hulu’s widely acclaimed “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” which charts the rise of the Wu-Tang clan over time. Season 3 catches up with the Wu-Tang members after their first album, facing divergent paths in the years that follow. As with any group navigating the challenging lure of fame and money, it’s a treacherous road — but an indelible journey. “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” Season 3 premieres February 15 on Hulu.
Here’s everything coming to Hulu in February 2023.

Channing Tatum just might follow Patrick Swayze’s dance-ready footsteps for a remake of “Ghost.”
The “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” star revealed in a Vanity Fair cover story that his production company Free Association has the rights to the 1990 Oscar-winning film.
“Now I know why they put this in ‘Ghost,'” Tatum said during the interview set in a pottery class. “This whole process is very, very sexual.”
Tatum added, “We have the rights to ‘Ghost.'”
Per Vanity Fair, Tatum told the interviewer that Free Association is “trying to pull together a remake of Ghost, with him potentially playing the Patrick Swayze role.” However, the reimagining would be sans “problematic” stereotypes, as Vanity Fair wrote.
Tatum said, “But we’re going to do something different. I think it needs to change a little bit.”
IndieWire has reached out to Tatum’s team and Free Association for comment.

Anna Kendrick has been making waves in Hollywood since her film debut in 2003's "Camp." Throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s, Kendrick gained traction as an actor, appearing in four of the five Twilight movies, as well as "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," "Up in the Air," and "50/50" all by 2011. Arguably, she exploded into the spotlight following her role as Beca Mitchell in the 2013 musical comedy "Pitch Perfect," in which she starred alongside Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine, and Brittany Snow.
Since the success from "Pitch Perfect," Kendrick has continued to take on lead roles in animated films like "Trolls" and heartwarming holiday movies like Disney+'s "Noelle." Most recently, the actor diverted from her musical/comedic roots and starred in the indie psychological thriller "Alice, Darling."
Outside of her prolific acting career, Kendrick typically keeps her personal life private. However, Kendrick garnered attention after she was rumored to...

As the calendar flips over to 2023, Prime Video is attempting to start a new year on the right track with fresh seasons of some major originals.
Prime Videos’ list of new releases for January 2023 is highlighted by Hunters season 2 on Jan. 13. The first season of Hunters was set in 1977 and followed young Jonah Heidelbaum’s (Logan Lerman) introduction to a world of Nazi-hunting. After a lengthy wait for season 2, the fresh (and final) batch of episodes will find Jonah and friends venturing to South American to take out none other than Adolf Hitler, himself.
While Nazi-hunting undoubtedly takes up a lot of streaming space, two other Amazon original series of note arrive in January. The Rig, a supernatural thriller set on a Scottish oil rig, premieres Jan. 6. That will be followed by season 2 of fantasy role-playing animated series The Legend of Vox Machina on Jan. 20.

The new year is upon us and Amazon Prime Video is kicking things off in grand fashion. Not only are they debuting the third season of their Tom Clancy adaptation “Jack Ryan,” they’re also debuting the final season of the ambitious, Al Pacino-starring actioner “Hunters.”
Initially debuting to the service in February of 2020, right as the pandemic started, the series’ first season follows a ragtag group of Nazi hunters in 1977 New York City. The so-called Hunters discover that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living in the United States and are conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in America. The Nazi hunters, led by Pacino, will embark on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their genocidal plans. The series concluded in 2020 and has taken some time to get back to screens. Unfortunately, this second season will be a finale as well so fans...

Before he was a household name, Seth Rogen was really determined to become one. Back when his only notable role was as Ken Miller in the cult hit "Freaks and Geeks," the up-and-coming actor had big ambitions to take over Hollywood -- if only so that, as he told Vanity Fair in 2012, he could "get girls to sleep with [him]". In fact, before he gained major fame for his role in early 2000s Judd Apatow comedies, Rogen said he was "incredibly angry and repressed," despite his reputation as a down-to-earth, slightly sarcastic nice guy.
Clearly the young Canadian had something to prove, and Apatow had taken notice. The soon-to-be king of blockbuster comedy was planning his takeover of the genre and was going to bring Rogen along for the ride if it killed him. As "Freaks" writer J. Elvis Weinstein put it, Apatow was seemingly on "a mission to make this kid a star.

Seth Rogen 15 best movies ranked, including ‘The Fabelmans,’ ’50/50,’ ‘Steve Jobs’ and more [Photos]

The “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series at Disney+ has added three new actors to its cast, Variety has learned exclusively.
Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, and Jessica Parker Kennedy are the latest additions to the cast of the series based on Rick Riordan Percy Jackson novels. The trio join previously announced series lead Walker Scobell and series regulars Aryan Simhadri and Leah Sava Jeffries.
Copeland will appear in a recurring guest star role as Ares, the god of War. Ares is described as “handsome in a wicked way and arrogant, despite not always being the sharpest tool in the shed. He loves conflict and acts as an agent of chaos wherever he goes.”
Copeland is best known as Edge, a WWE Hall of Famer who returned to the ring in January 2020 after a nine-year hiatus due to medical issues. He is also an accomplished actor, having appeared in shows like “Vikings,...

Dominique Boutonnat, the president of France’s most powerful entertainment body the National Film Board (Cnc), has been ordered to stand trial for an alleged sexual assault on his 22 year-old godson, Variety has confirmed.
Boutonnat was just appointed by the French government to serve a second three-year mandate as president, despite the fact that he has been indicted for the alleged sexual assault since February 2021.
The Nanterre public prosecutor’s office requested that Boutonnat’s case should be brought before a criminal court back in April, following a 14-month investigation. A judge then had to determine whether to drop the case or order Boutonnat to face trial, and ultimately ruled the latter. The news agency Afp was first to report the news.

The long-rumored sequel to 1987’s “Dirty Dancing” has a director and a release date, Lionsgate announced on Monday.
Filmmaker Jonathan Levine will direct “Dirty Dancing,” which he co-wrote with Elizabeth Chomko. The film, which Lionsgate teased during CinemaCon this year, brings Jennifer Grey back to the franchise as Frances “Baby” Houseman, her character from the original blockbuster.
Speaking to Deadline, Levine suggested that Grey may not be the only actor from the first film to reprise their role in his sequel. “We are about to talk to people and are exploring that,” he said.
“The most important thing for us was having Jennifer on board. She is an invaluable collaborator. We’re going to try to involve as many people from the original as is appropriate. We want to be respectful in every way,” he added.
According to Levine, the new film will also reference Swayze’s character, Johnny. “This...

It’s been 35 years since somebody put Baby (Jennifer Grey) in the corner, and audiences no doubt have “Hungry Eyes” for a sequel.
Ahead of this year’s Cannes market, “Long Shot” and “50/50” director Jonathan Levine confirmed he will be directing the “Dirty Dancing” sequel for Lionsgate.
Original lead star Grey will reprise her role of Frances “Baby” Houseman as she returns to family camp Kellerman’s in the 1990s, as Deadline reported. Similar to the 1987 iconic film, the upcoming “Dirty Dancing” installment will focus on a coming-of-age romance, but Baby’s personal story will intertwine for a multi-layered (and multi-generational) narrative.
Director Levine co-wrote the sequel, which is also titled “Dirty Dancing,” with Elizabeth Chomko. Casting is reportedly underway with production slated for later this year; the film is eying a 2024 release date. Grey may also be joined by fellow original cast members, as Levine told Deadline that...

Jonathan Levine, the filmmaker behind the comedy “Long Shot’ and tear-jerker “50/50,” is taking his talents to the Catskills.
He’s been hired by Lionsgate to direct a sequel to 1987’s “Dirty Dancing,” with Jennifer Grey set to reprise her classic role as Frances “Baby” Houseman. No word as to whether she’ll be in a corner.
Prior to finding himself in the director’s chair, Levine was already attached to the project as a producer. He also co-wrote the screenplay with Elizabeth Chomko. The follow-up film, also titled “Dirty Dancing,” is expected to go into production later this year for release in 2024. International sales will launch later this month in Cannes.
Lionsgate announced back in 2020 that another “Dirty Dancing” story was in the works. Little is known about the next chapter, but Levine has hinted the sequel will include music from the original movie, as well as ’90s hip-hop.

Exclusive: Jonathan Levine (Nine Perfect Strangers) has been tapped to direct the pilot and executive produce Hulu limited series Tell Me Lies, based on Carola Lovering’s novel.
