This time out trio really have gone for a long walk as Foggy is looking at a map and Clegg exclaims at one point 'Don't tell me we've walked all this way and God's not in.'
It is not long before Foggy is run over by scramblers on motorbikes on the moors. Well at least this gives Foggy an idea as to how Compo could impress Nora Batty.
Compo borrows Crusher's oversized racing leathers and becomes The Phantom. He will pop up here and there, particularly when Nora is on a picnic leading Nora to wonder who this notorious phantom person could be.
The episode ends with another mishap as Compo rides the bike straight into a lake before running away.
A rather formulaic episode as we have seen Compo before trying to impress Nora with escapades with a motor vehicle. Still we get a scene stealing performance from Wally Batty and Crusher has established a nice rapport with Compo.
