A.M.P. (All My People) [Drums] by M.I.A. sampled the song Aasaiya Kaathula Thoothu Vittu.
This is the Hindi dubbed version of Tamil movie "Johnny".
Except for Sridevi, nobody lip-syncs during the songs throughout the film, even if it is a dance number such as "Aasaiya Kaathula".
Rajnikanth and Sridevi did not dub for the dubbed Hindi version. Dubbing artiste's were used.
Among the many things the film is popular for, including the performances of Sridevi and Rajinikanth, the latter's iconic trendy looks as Johnny and especially Vidyasagar, and the impressive production value and technicality (most notably in the shots featuring both of Rajini's characters), the soundtrack and score by Ilayaraja stands out as one of the most iconic compositions for a Tamil film from its era. The popularity of the soundtrack extends to being frequently played by music students in school cultural events even decades after release.
