Due to limited ice capacity in March 1986 in the Helsinki Ice Hall (Finnish: Helsingin jäähalli), the hockey sequences in Finland were shot at night. Actor Taneli Mäkelä did the theatre play "Finlandia" at Ryhmäteatteri at the same time. In the film, Mäkelä plays for the fictional hockey team "Tapiolan Hauki".
