The Torkelsons (1991) was nearly cancelled at the end of the first season, which executive producer Michael Jacobs blamed on NBC's decision to move the show from Saturday nights to Sundays opposite 60 Minutes (1968). Instead of cancelling it, NBC had it retooled, retitled it Almost Home (1993), and aired it on Saturday nights. This revamp was also unsuccessful and NBC officially cancelled the series in the spring of 1993.
