Phil Collins was written out of the film for a long period due to disagreements over his performance style with the director. His character goes on a mysterious biking holiday. Collins later said he had hated making the film.
From 1967 onwards the CFF stipulated they wanted films they had commissioned to be made in colour, making this one of the last, if not the last, CFF film shot on monochrome film stock.
