It would appear that George Carney's (Old Pornick) and Viscount Castlerosse's (Man in Bath Chair) scenes were deleted from the final cut.
The sign in the sleeping quarters, "The Sleep of a Labouring Man is Sweet: Eccle 5:12", is a typical Victorian era sign, exhorting the working class to work hard(er). The full verse is "The sleep of a labouring man is sweet,/ Whether he eats little or much; /But the abundance of the rich will not permit him to sleep."
