Loved the first short story SARASWATHI, it conveys what women gone through that time... Much needed anthology but as a film lover, the story doesnt move well especially the last episode... Tgey should have trimmed it a little bit.

Good acting and good three stories... All the stories are solid and great acting. Vasanth proved himself again. But we had seen the same in "Great Indian Kitchen" already, that is the only minus point. The three stories are three versions of "Great Indian Kitchen". Lot of scenes are made in visual than with dialogs.... the door opening scene, bureau shifting scene, climax run all these are so classic.
Worth the watch....

From the very first scenes, the movie captured our attention with its handheld cinematography that engaged us with the narrative: we were going where the camera was leading us and were present in the rooms with the lead actresses. We experienced their anger, shame, satisfaction, and determination. There were minor scenes we had to skip as we became so enraged, and surely that was the director's goal to show how atrocious some customs are and the dire need to stop them
The film special was special as it discoursed the treatment of women over a period of years, illustrating the progress over time. Dialogues were intentionally designed to attract attention and raise awareness. The use of symbolism was so striking, especially the last scene of every story, though speechless, spoke a thousand words
The acting, the acting, the acting was without question simply perfect!!! It was great seeing Kalieswari Srinivasan (playing Saraswathi) on screen, wish she had more movies...

Real life stories and everyday exploits of ordinary women in India is what this is about! The struggles they go through and selfless sacrifices (which are usually unacknowledged and unnoticed) they make on a daily basis has been captured well in the movie. A tight but succinct slap on male chauvinism which usually kills the individualism and aspirations of women is showcased.
Superb acting by all the ladies specially Lakshmi Priya! Can't believe how the Tamil film industry ignores such great talent and keeps going to other states to import heroines! Time to use more of these wonderfully talentedTamil women instead of going for white skin and body exposure!
