I watched this ----
---- but honestly I don't remember anything about it. No details or the plot. But I remember watching the whole movie. It's been maybe over a month since seeing it and typing these thoughts.
But I watched it!
But I watched it!
Potential wasted
Boring
I don't get the feeling. This movie is bad; very awkward acting and conversation, unfortunate camera angles and background music that din't fit, and I felt like every scene was cut and put together just like that. No harmony, no feeling.

No! No! No!
This movie is just bad; the acting; the editing; the directing; it is all just bad. Normally I enjoy indie films but this was so disjointed that it became a mess from nearly the start. Save your time and watch paint dry.

Unwatchable
Oh, this is just terrible. Even for an Eric Roberts movie this is just... offensive. I do hope René Mena is loaded in real life and isn't actually trying to make a living through acting because... oh, boy.

Bad movie, bad acting, bad stiry
Based on the high reviews, I was looking forward to seeing this movie. When I started watching this movie....I thought I must be watching the wrong movie. The main character was such a bad and wooden actor.... along with most of the other "actors". Its so bad, so badly acted and written and is so unbelievable.
Childish and annoying.
Cliche story. And Isaac should have died. Stupid movie.
Eric Roberts, a guarantee for a bad movie.
Do not believe anybody that rates this movie with a perfect ten, they're probably related to somebody involved in this piece of garbage. From the first scene you already get that bad feeling this movie is going to be bad. It has that typical lousy piano music between every scene, that typical sound that is so common with bad television movies. Eric Roberts and Linda Gray (yes Sue Ellen from Dallas) are synonym for low rank actors in badly written movies and in this case it's no exception. I can't believe those two are supposed to attract potential viewers. Even if they're almost not present in this monstrosity they still manage to make my stomach turn. The rest of the unknown cast is cringing to watch. You wonder where they find such terrible actors. But the worst is the story, if you can call it that. It's supposedly inspired by true events, so you expect something special, but all you get is some lame gay story nobody cares about. And I have absolutely nothing against gays at all, so that's not even the issue. The issue is untalented writers that shouldn't be allowed to make movies so that we shouldn't waste our time with crap like this. Note to all the lousy directors: stop using that lame piano music between every scene, don't you see this will bring your catastrophy of a movie even more down?

Failed on so many levels
Take coming out, finding oneself, double life, romance, heartbreak, childhood trauma and family problems and roll them all into one film that's only an hour and half long. The end result is a very disjointed with little to no real character development because the whole thing feels rushed. The camera work was a bit choppy and the stereotypical slightly above home movie level that a lot expect from indie movies at some points. The acting there were points I wasn't sure if they meant it to be that awkward or if it just came out that way. There were also points where the lead guy uses a what would be considered a common expression but his tone seemed to indicate he didn't understand why he was saying it. Combined with the scenes where the background is blacked out like it's not really happening yet it is happening.
I'm the end it felt like an amateur tried to take real events and create a movie but butchered it in execution.

AAA
I am giving this movie triple AAA because I can see what they were trying to do and it touched me. I was able to relate to the story so much that hit home and it got me reliving some moments of my life that I thought I had forgotten. it's not a film for everyone because there is a lot going on but I personally loved it.

Not the best film I've seen.
Prescience is not the best film I've seen. However, it touched me. I personally loved the story as well as the acting. I'm giving it a high rating because it's personal, unique and in my opinion one of the best lgbtq films I've seen in awhile. I really enjoyed it.
If you're not open minded don't even bother cuz you're in for a surprise.
I want to mention Linda Gray is the best thing on this film.

GREAT INDIE WITH AN INTERESTING TWIST.
I watched this film at their world premier in Richmond, VA and WOW. I enjoyed the story line, the acting and the producing. I thought Eric Roberts did an amazing job and Linda Gray and René Mena were great as well. The leads really carried this film. I highly recommend to go see it when it comes out in theater later this year. THIS IS NOT A GAY FILM. THIS IS A LOVE STORY!!

The film I've been waiting for!
I was not sure if it was worth paying the $5.99 to stream it but I absolutely loved it. It's just a great movie, and the subject matter happens to be gay. Isaac Smith takes us on a beautiful ride of self discover. It appeals to a wide variety of ages, genders, and sexual orientations! And the cast of the movie is diverse as well! Whether you're gay, straight, or undecided you will love it...or not. Don't take my word for it, go see it and write about it.

I didn't want to see this movie.
I was afraid this would be just another gay movie. I was pleased to be completely wrong. I identified with Isaac. This movie deals with acceptance and real issues in today's society. Put this down as a feel good classic that will endure. I'm happy I went to see it at the Richmond International Film Festival.
Very interesting film

This movie is the reason I enjoy cinema!
We all have our place in the world, it can just take a little longer for certain people to decide on both who and what they want to be. Our formative years play a big part in the life we choose, as do the people and environments that surround us. Prescience is a quite exceptional piece of cinema that explores these ideas in such a wonderful and intimate manner.
Prescience is a bold coming-of-age drama from Rene Mena and James Helsing that has an important place in today's cinema, becoming a raw and powerful film that speaks volumes in today's climate through evocative performances and a strong narrative that might seem simple upon first viewing but certainly becomes more layered when you look back on it.
I enjoyed Prescience so much that I watched it three times last night.
