Born in Yugoslavia, Tesich was 14 when he came to America and settled in East Chicago, Indiana. His father, a machinist, died in 1962. He graduated from Indiana University in 1965 and did graduate work at Columbia University where he began to write plays. 'Breaking Away (1979)' won Tesich an Oscar and a Golden Globe nomination. He successfully adapted 'The World According to Garp (1982)' and his last film was 'American Flyers (1985)'. After his film career ended, Tesich continued to write plays. Ivan Bosiljcic is a Serbian actor, well known for for his leading roles in numerous television and cinematographic projects, as well as in theatrical plays and musicals. He works for the National drama theater in Belgrade.
Ivan was born in a small town of Uzice in Western Serbia. After his graduation from the high school in 1997 he moved to Novi Sad, to attend the Academy of Arts under the supervision of the director and writer Vida Ognjenovic. He later moved to Belgrade to pursue his acting career. His first appearance in a leading role occurred in 2004, when he played in a television film produced by the Serbian National Television. The tittle of the drama was "On the harmful effects of tobacco'', and Bosiljcic was playing the role of A.P.Chekhov, the famous Russian writer. In parallel with his TV appearance, Ivan started playing in musical productions.He became popular for his roles in ,,Grease'', ,,Kiss me Kate'', "A Chorus line'', "Les Miserables'' , "Rebecca'' , "Chicago'' etc. He also participated dramas such as "Hamlet'', "Twelfth night'', "Mary Stuart'', "The Great Gatsby'', "Play Shakespeare'', "Mileva Einstein'' and more then another 20 national plays.
Ivan became national well known after his roles in the TV serials : "The dollars are coming'' in 2004, "To love or to hate'' in 2006, "Wounded eagle'' 2008. The last one became the most popular TV serial of all times in Serbian TV history. The same year he was awarded by the National film festival in Nis, for his role in the movie "On the beautiful blue Danube''. Until the present time he have participated in more then 10 national and international TV and movie projects. In 2016. he got a role in Russian TV serial "Hotel Rossia'' . After his big success in Russian national television he had the chance to work in in Moscow, where he has been living till now.
Ivan provided his voice to numerous animated movies (dubbed in Serbian) : "Teenage Ninja mutant turtle's'', "The Flowertoots'', "Planet 51'', "Peter Pan '' and "Frozen''.
Ivan Bosiljcic is very popular in the whole Balkan area for his concerts and his music and poetry evenings. He has been giving concerts for the last 9 years in Serbia, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway and Island, with a big success, thanks to his great musical and vocal experience. By the end of 2017 he will have numerous concerts in Australia, Canada and USA.
