Jesse Hiram was born and raised in Santa Ana, California, and dreamed of being part of the film industry ever since he first saw Star Wars in 1977 at the very young age of 3. Seeing the impact and the creative response that Star Wars had on young Jesse's imagination, his parents would devote family vacations to Universal Studios as often as three times per year. His father an early adopter of VHS technology would bring home "only" film buff movies, films like that of The Godfather, Scarface, Blade Runner, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Citizen Kane just to name a few. These films were introduced to him early in his upbringing and continue to influence and inspire Jess's imaginative faculties still today.
Jesse has been involved in the entertainment industry since the mid 80's starting with KDOC channel 56 as a re-occurring caller who inquired and interviewed alternative music guests. Concurrently during this time, he also began shooting VHS and Super 8mm film at a highly resourceful technology intensive school named, Century High. There he began experimenting with amateur photography, video editing, and developing his on-camera persona, all while performing in an all gothic alternative band in which he covered the roles of producer, bassist and guitarist.
He then proceeds to graduate from Orange Coast College's Alternative Film Program in 1996, where he learns how to shoot, edit and project 16mm film. Soon thereafter he decides to pivot from film and begins to travel throughout Europe as a DJ. After his travels, he comes back to the US and begins putting his love of music and filming talent into forming Tempovision International as his new project and company. Through this endeavor, he interviews musicians, shoots live performances, introduces new generations to alternative music videos and ultimately sharpens his editing and promoting skills to get his show aired on public access TV.
Having exhausted his shooting and editing skills he decides to get involved with the creative side of computer graphics and attains a VFX degree at the Art Institute of Orange County, with added certification from Gnomon School for VFX. Jesse now accumulates film credits on many blockbuster films and in 2016 he finally gets to work on "Star Wars Episode 8", his dream job come true. Difficulties in finding work after the Star Wars Disney "gig", Jesse finally gets picked up by Deluxe Technicolor after previously working there on other films and is where he now currently works and is a member of the editor's guild union, and continues to connect with Hollywood film creatives that share his hunger for artistic storytelling.
