Spoiler Alert: The following interview contains spoilers from “Comeuppance,” the Season 3 finale of “Mayor of Kingstown,” now streaming on Paramount+.
Wrapping up its season quietly in a tidy fashion is just not the “Mayor of Kingstown” way, which it proved once more on Sunday with the conclusion of its gripping third season. As is par for the course with the dark world of the fictional Michigan city, there was a lot of bloodshed and death as well as characters questioning their respective futures. Not too shabby for a show that found itself in a very real, fragile position last year when star Jeremy Renner, who plays beleaguered Mike McLusky, was injured in a snowplow accident that left him with blunt chest trauma and 38 broken bones.
But, like the heroes he’s known for playing in much of his career, Renner was determined to recover and get back to his “Mayor of Kingstown” character,...

"Mayor of Kingstown" is returning with a second season to Paramount+, and we've got all the information you need about the continuing story of the town with far too many prisons. The Taylor Sheridan/Hugh Dillon show is back after a major prison riot, and a very harrowing incident with a wild animal that will change things going forward for Mike McLusky and his family. The series stars Jeremy Renner ("Hawkeye") as Mike, who, along with his brother Kyle (Taylor Handley), is working within the prison industrial complex to change things. That's a rough job, and after a riot, everything is about to change for the town of Kingston, Michigan, and its inhabitants.

Taylor Sheridan is about to have four shows premiering in the span of three months. The insanely-prolific “Yellowstone” creator’s Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown,” starring Jeremy Renner, will return for Season 2 on January 15, the streamer revealed on Tuesday.
Co-created by Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, “Mayor of Kingstown” is a crime drama focusing on the McLusky family, who act as power brokers between law enforcement and the crime world in the titular Michigan town, which houses seven large prisons. Renner leads the series’ cast as Mike, the middle McLusky brother and a former inmate who is forced to take over the family business following the death of the eldest son Mitch (Kyle Chandler). As he attempts to bring peace and order to the corrupt town, Mike’s activities cause friction in his family, particularly with his mother Miriam (Dianne Wiest). Season 2 picks up immediately where the first left off, on...

“I was petrified,” admits rising star Emma Laird about her initial trepidation about working alongside Jeremy Renner on “Mayor of Kingstown,” “I truly think he’s one of the most incredible actors ever, and so I really had to make sure I said hi to him, getting all that nervousness out before I stepped on set with him,” she shares, adding for our recent webchat, “he was really my mentor in a way, whether he knows it or not, and I have so much love for him and I’m so excited that I get to go back and work with him.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.

The 2020 edition of the Luck Reunion has announced its lineup. Lucinda Williams, Orville Peck, Margo Price, and perennial Luck headliner Willie Nelson are all set to perform at the daylong festival held on Nelson’s Luck Ranch outside of Austin.
Slated for March 19th, the Luck Reunion brings together left-of-center artists who are both preserving and progressing American music. Luck is also defined by frequent collaboration and a sense of intimacy, especially for the lucky few who pack the ranch’s “Chapel Stage.” This year, the Haden Triplets, Sierra Ferrell,...

This episode was another letdown, and let’s begin to discuss that one reason.
Counter Play Season 1 Episode 5 revolved around someone finding out about Jake Spector’s transition from being Aaron Robertson. It was none other than Faith Morgan!
It was nice to see Faith Morgan finally being a character that moves instead of a character that is being dragged along. She was Jake’s way back into the life in South Point, literally! It was her connections that Jake was able to reintroduce himself to lives of the town’s residents. For once, she was not a pawn.
The disappointment here was how Faith discovered the truth about Jake Robertson.
Of all the places, why did Jake hid a hospital letter from his plastic surgery inside a drawer? A drawer that is in the place he was staying in with Faith? Couldn’t he just burn it? Or, didn...
