Jeremy Summers(V)
- Actor
- Additional Crew
Jeremy's passion for acting began at the early age of 8 years old! At this age he would spend every holiday and summers with his Grandmother Nita in Irving Texas where they would both both enjoy going to the movies, watching the Academy Awards, and seeing live productions. This experience sparked an interest for him to perform. Early in age, Jeremy was a shy character who was afraid to approach others! His confidence was low, as he did come from a battered home; a home where everything was wrong. Watching his father abuse his mother was one of several reasons that caused his fear of others, lack of trust, and low confidence. His visits to his Grandmothers was his escape and a place he could be himself. His Grandmother was his idol; his greatest encouragement. She was always supportive of his desires and would encourage him to reach for the stars. His other support came from his Uncle Brian who lived just minutes from his Grandmother. Having this support is what was needed to feel normal.
Every year, Jeremy looked forward to his visits with his Grandmother and Uncle! Watching the Academy Awards was their best moments, and these moments drove him harder and harder to reach for the stars. In 2005, Jeremy made his first appearance in film on the network series "Friday Night Lights" Season 1 Finale. This wasn't his greatest experience, but it was the moment that he realized that being a performer is what he was born to do. This was where he could be anything and anyone he wanted without being judged. He could be himself! February 11th that year, he had his first son. Jeremy decided that it was best that he was there for his child, and put Acting on the side so he could enjoy fatherhood and be the father that his son needed. In 2006 he decided to audition for the role of Santa at his local community theatre, but was turned down for the role; however he was chosen to play the role as a clumsy father instead in the production "'Twas The Night". This was his first major Theatrical role which had very high reviews in the community. The interaction he received was like a drug, he needed more.
In 2010, Jeremy had his second son. After the birth of his second son, Jeremy suffered a severe accident while at his regular job. He fell 3 stories from a house that him and his Step-Father were working on. This accident landed him in the Hospital with a broken back, Fractured Ankle, and several lacerations to his face. During his stay, he was told there was a 70% chance he would not walk again. With two children in his life, this news was unbearable. He needed to be a provider, and was not going to be able to with these injuries. He decided to try to go back into Acting to help meet ends. His prayers were answered in the Hospital when he received a call from Andrei with Legacy Casting! He was asked to play an extra role as a Police Officer on the hit series "Dallas", however he had to turn the role down being that he was still in the Hospital. Later on in 2011, Andrei reach out to Jeremy again in hopes that he would be available to work at this time. Jeremy accepted the request and landed a small part in the movie "Olympus Has Fallen"! His passion again began to shine. Over the next few years, he remained active in the film community through Legacy Casting. But his most greatest accomplishment was in 2014 on the WGN series " Salem" where he worked all 3 seasons as several characters, started Stand-In, and was asked to do his first Special Ability stunt. This is where he was picked up by BK Talent, and met the love of his life, Rebecca Gamble, They were inseparable and would continue their dreams as Actors with each other. They both were each other's fuel and drove each other to new levels in their career. They were always seen together on set, worked very well with each-other, and wouldn't take on roles without the other. They were a true Hollywood Romance! They were even know as JerBecca!
Tragedy struck again August 2018, when Jeremy lost Rebecca to an accidental Overdose that led to the loss of her life. Jeremy continues his passion in her memory today!
