David Birch(III)

David Birch started his law enforcement career with the Odessa Police Department as a police cadet while an active member of the Odessa Boxing Club. Birch later moved to north central Texas and accepted a position as patrol deputy with the Wise County Sheriffs Department. It was here, while working for a Sheriff that happened to be a retired Texas Ranger and technical advisor for the TV Series "Walker Texas Ranger" that Birch got his start in TV/Film/Movie security. Birch worked on the set of "Walker Texas Ranger" for several seasons as security. Birch continued working security for movies, TV series, commercials, videos, etc. filmed in the Texas area while continuing his law enforcement career and continued training in his love of boxing (Birch's dad was a professional boxer for ten years) and mixed martial arts. Birch was ultimately promoted through all ranks to Chief Deputy and left the Sheriffs Department after being appointed as a Special Texas Ranger. Birch worked felony cases in his ten county area and his investigations led him to numerous states breaking up theft rings. Birch is a seasoned homicide investigator and is a life time member of Homicide Investigators of Texas, Texas Chief Deputies Association and the Former Texas Ranger Association. Birch was featured on an episode of "America's Most Wanted" which led to the capture of a fugitive at large in New Mexico. After successfully starting his own security company, Birch left full time law enforcement to pursue a career in personal protection. Birch attended numerous Personal Protection Schools throughout his career including the world renowned Executive Protection Institute. Birch has provided a wide range of protection for high profile politicians, professional athletes, CEO's, celebrities, and others threatened with harm. Birch resided in Los Angeles for several years while working for an A list celebrity while providing security in both their personal and professional life. Birch eventually moved back to Texas to provide security for the San Antonio Spurs while traveling and for several of the players in their personal life(s). Birch continues to work for numerous celebrities and others as needed on a contract basis and keeps his security licenses active in California and Texas. Birch has provided security and security details throughout the USA and in numerous foreign countries.
