Born in Izmir, Turkey, Cagan Kayi studied filmmaking in California after completing his degree in Economics. He won the best director award in Independent Filmmakers Showcase 2015 with his first feature film. In 2020s, he won several international awards with his short films. He is a writer, producer and director who focuses on psychological and social issues with crime, comedy, horror and sci-fi subtexts in his projects. He resides in his hometown Izmir and continues to create and tell those stories with cinema.
