Rocìo Muñoz Morales was born in Madrid. After taking her first steps in fashion and dance, she studied to become an actress. In 2012 she made her entry into Italian cinema in Paolo Genovese's film Immaturi - Il Viaggio and a few years later she was chosen as the female protagonist of the successful series Un Passo Dal Cielo on Rai1. In 2015, she joined Carlo Conti in hosting the 65th Sanremo Music Festival during the five evenings. In the same year she returned to Rai1 as the protagonist of the film Tango Per La Libertà by Alberto Negrin, and in the following years, she was in the cast of several films for the cinema such as All Roads Lead To Rome with Sarah Jessica Parker, Tu Mi Nascondi Qualcosa, up to the most recent They Talk To me, Tre Sorelle, (Im)perfetti criminali and Una Gran Voglia Di Vivere. Rocío alternates her work as an actress in Italy with a career that proceeds in parallel in Spain.
She hosts successful programs for TVE1 and is the testimonial of numerous advertising campaigns. Also passionate about theater and writing, in 2017 she debuted as the protagonist in Certe Notti, and later in Di' Che Ti Manda Picone, Love Letters, Sherlock Holmes and the Crimes of Jack the Ripper and Fiori d'acciaio, while in 2021 she published her first novel entitled Un Posto Tutto Mio published by Sonzogno, for which she won the Margutta Prize for literature, followed, last year, by Dove Nasce Il Sole. In september 2022 she walks the red carpet of the Venice International Film Festival as Godmother. She is broadcast in prime time on RaiUno as host alongside Massimo Ranieri in the prime-time show Tutti I Sogni Ancora In Volo. Rocío is a naturalized Italian actress, loved not only for her elegance and beauty but also for the professionalism and love with which she approaches each of her projects.
