Monica Olive is the rare artist whose work is capable of making a tangible, meaningful impact on both the entertainment world and society at large. As an actor, musician, and activist, she has dedicated her life to her craft, creating an exceptionally diverse body of work for such a young performer. And best of all, her story is still just getting started. Her current work - writing and singing all the songs on her debut EP 'GODDESS' by her new band OLIVOIX- is the most compelling she has ever created, putting her in position to become one of her generation's most vital and inspiring voices.
Monica was born in Nyack, New York. She studied both painting and film acting at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts before relocating to Los Angeles to begin bringing her vision to life. She quickly became an in-demand performer, doing voiceover work for Disney, World of Warcraft and, Little Rocky, just to name a few. She toured the country several times over as the vocalist/keyboardist for indie folk group Dylan Trees, and saw several songs she wrote featured on prominent soundtracks. She created her new band OLIVOIX along with an exceptionally accomplished cast of musicians (including longtime Shwizz bassist Frank Coda), she has created a stirring collection of songs with their debut EP 'GODDESS.' The stunning songs delve deeply into the trauma of modern society, only to emerge with the strength and resilience needed to fight another day.
Monica's acting career has been equally prolific and rewarding. Her first leading role as Brooke in 'The Hike' earned her 3 nominations for best actress and one win at the Independent Horror Movie Awards Film Festival. She would go on to share the screen with A-list talent including John Hawkins, Denise Richards, Rachel True. Regardless of the project, her on-screen presence is undeniably magnetic, continually earning praise from audiences and industry insiders alike.
In the rare moments when she isn't creating art, Monica can often be found riding her vintage motorcycle through the Rocky Mountains or sampling fine vintage whiskeys. While she had been splitting her time between Denver and Los Angeles, she recently relocated to NYC with her boyfriend and her beloved cat.
