Rubén Guevara III is the Executive Producer and Co-Creator of PBS SoCal's "Con Safos," the 12th season premiere Artbound documentary chronicling the life of his Chicano poet-activist-musician father, Rubén Funkahuatl Guevara. He graduated from New York University's Tisch School of Film & TV with a degree in narrative and documentary film production, and has since worked for Warner Bros. Pictures, Sony Studios, Buzzfeed, IndieWire, KLCS-TV, and other digital media organizations.
Shortly before attending NYU, Rubén was awarded Warner Bros.' first ever R.E.A.C.H. Film & TV scholarship, which included a four-year internship spearheaded by the studio's Corporate Affairs and Responsibility department. He has worked on several high profile feature films, including "Interstellar," "The Hangover: Part II," "Entourage," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2,""Winter's Tale," "Gangster Squad," and "Crazy, Stupid, Love." He is an ITVS and N.E.H. (National Endowment for the Humanities) Development Fellow, an L.A. Press Club Award Winner, L.A. Area Emmy Award nominee, and California Humanities CDP grant recipient.
