After Kurtwood Smith announced that Netflix had canceled That ’90s Show after two seasons, his co-stars took to the comments to share their reactions.
Mace Coronel, who played Jay Kelso, said, “Such an honor to meet and work with you.”
Smith replied, “Mace, you’re a wonderful young man with a ton of talent to go along with it… it was [a] pleasure every day to see and work with you! Thanks for all those good days!”
Coronel’s character was the son of Ashton Kutcher’s Michael Kelso and Mila Kunis’ Jackie Burkhart.
Callie Haverda, who played Leia Forman, the daughter of Topher Grace’s Eric Forman and Laura Prepon’s Donna Pinciotti, also had some kind words for Smith, who played her grandfather Red Forman.
“The best TV grandpa I could’ve asked for,” Haverda said.

After two decades away from Point Place, Wisconsin, Laura Prepon is back. And this time, she’s in the driver’s seat.
The That ’70s Show alum recently opened up about returning for Part 3 of the Netflix spinoff series That ’90s Show, not only in the role of Donna Pinciotti, but as director of all eight episodes.
“The experience was amazing,” Prepon told The Wrap. “I’ve been directing for a while — when I was on Orange [Is the New Black], I directed … multiple episodes on that, I directed in this show last year as well. It was really nice being able to direct a whole slew of episodes at the same time, because you really get to sit deep in the saddle and go.
She continued, “And being able to go back onto a set that I know so well. And not only the set, but the showrunner I’ve known for 20 years,...

Speaking of Eric Forman, Topher Grace still didn't appear in That '90s Show to reprise his role from the original series, but the sequel sitcom does offer us an update on Leia's dad. Fans of “That ’90s Show” can expect new episodes sooner than they previously anticipated. Part 3 of the Netflix comedy’s second season will now premiere on Aug. 22 rather than the previously announced Oct. 24.
Season 2 of the “That ’70s Show” spinoff was divided into multiple parts, an increasingly common trend for the streamer. The first half premiered in June. Netflix announced the news on X via its Netflix Is a Joke account on Tuesday.
“That ’90s Show” first premiered in January 2023. During its first season, all 10 episodes were released at once.
Set during the summer of 1995 and ’96, the comedy revolves around Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), the daughter of Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon). 15 years after the events of “That ’70s Show,” Leia spends the summer in Point Place, Wis., with her grandparents Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and finds her own group of misfit friends.

Mila Kunis is shutting down the possibility of returning to That ’90s Show Season 2, including Ashton Kutcher.
In a new interview, the actress revealed that she and Kutcher would not be reprising their That ’70s Show characters when the sequel series returns to Netflix.
“No,” Kunis told Et when asked if she and her husband Kutcher would return to the sitcom. “I mean, we did our thing, and they introduced our son in the show.”
Kunis, who was on the red carpet of the PaleyFest in L.A. to celebrate Family Guy, where she voices Meg Griffin, was alongside her co-star Seth Green, who interjected to say he would guest star on That ’90s Show.
“I’ve already done an episode of it, and I’m going back to do another one,” Green said.
Green had a recurring role on That ’70s Show, playing Mitch Miller, the nemesis of Topher Grace’s Eric Forman.

With the spinoff recently debuting on Netflix, fans are going back and streaming early episodes of the TV sitcom, That ’70s Show. Originally released in 1998, it’s hard to believe a cast of young and inexperienced actors could create a successful show. However, they seem to have benefited from their naivety while filming the pilot.

That ’70s Show was a hit series that lasted for eight seasons before Fox canceled the show. About 15 years later, Netflix announced a continuation of the story. That ’90s Show premiered in January 2023, showcasing both new and returning faces from the original. Additionally, many props found their way back to the familiar set — like the Vista Cruiser.

The idea for a spinoff series came about years ago, but Netflix shot down the proposed plotline. After some changes to the script, the streamer green-lit the sequel, which takes place in Point Place, Wisconsin, with the Forman’s house as the setting once again.
Among the returning faces are Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and Red (Kurtwood Smith) Forman. While they are regular cast members, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Wilmer Valderrama, and a few others make cameo appearances.

LGBTQ representation in Hollywood has come a long way. Gay roles in the 20th century were pretty much nonexistent, but the late ’90s and early 2000s began normalizing a situation that Hollywood had tried so hard to deny.
Unfortunately, even with the increasing number of gay roles on TV at the time, most of these parts were severely underdeveloped and sometimes abandoned. One such case is Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s role in That ’70s Show. Gordon-Levitt was supposed to have a recurring role in the series but ultimately was dropped to a guest star.

Actor Mace Coronel has a lot to live up to in the wake of That ’70s Show. He plays Jay Kelso, son of Ashton Kutcher’s Michael Kelso, in the new Netflix sitcom That 90s Show. It’s a role that was difficult to cast, but Coronel has since proved himself as the right choice for the difficult job: echoing Kutcher’s loveable dullard without simply mimicking that performance.
The role called for a young actor. Hollywood usually casts older, but in Coronel, they found the right guy for the job — while he was still in high school.

That ’90s Show is new to Netflix. But the streamer already renewed it for a second season. The popular show, a sequel to That ’70s Show, offers up a lot for fans both old and new, including both original and established characters, lots of humor, and smart pop culture references. While That ’90s Show focuses primarily on the young cast members, there are plenty of appearances from legacy characters from That ’70s Show — and as those who worked on the TV series have revealed, there were plenty of interactions between the stars. Still, one guest star in particular really made an impression on the young cast members, leaving them truly starstruck.
‘That ’90s Show’ introduced a new young cast (L to R) Sam Morelos as Nikki, Mace Coronel as Jay, Ashley Aufderheide as Gwen Runck, Callie Haverda as Leia Forman, Maxwell Acee Donovan as Nate, Reyn Doi as Ozzie in episode 101 of That ’90s Show.

Just from the title alone, it’s easy to determine the period in which That ’70s Show takes place. However, this wasn’t initially clear for star Debra Jo Rupp who was shocked to learn that the popular series was a period piece.

That ’90s Show is brand-new to Netflix, but the lighthearted sitcom already has many fans hooked. A reboot/sequel to the iconic early 2000s series That ’70s Show, That ’90s Show has everything that longtime fans of the franchise want — including many of the original show’s beloved characters. Topher Grace and Laura Prepon, of course, appear as Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti Forman. The two performers were able to effortlessly slip back into the personas of Eric and Donna, according to show creators — and by their own admissions, they have thoroughly embraced the chance to act in That ’90s Show.
Topher Grace and Laura Prepon starred as Eric and Donna in ‘That ’70s Show’
In That ’70s Show, Grace played Eric Forman, a nerdy teenager growing up in Wisconsin. Grace appeared in nearly every episode of the show until Season 7, when the character of Eric opted to take a teaching job in Africa.

That ’70s Show introduced audiences to the wonderfully groovy Point Place, Wisconsin crew and their stoner antics. The period comedy chronicles Eric Forman and his marijuana-loving friends’ growing pains, adolescent difficulties, and romantic relationships throughout the 1970s. But the show also showcased his parents. A scene from one of the show’s best episodes features Red and Kitty Forman, played by Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, unwittingly getting high. In a recent interview, the actors revealed that they had to film that scene “a bazillion times.”

The episode “Garage Sale,” is often considered one of the best of That ’70s Show, as per MovieWeb. In it, the Formans need money because Red’s hours at the plant have been cut back significantly. At Eric’s request, Hyde bakes a batch of “special brownies” for the garage sale.

Hello Wisconsin! It’s official, a new generation of ’90s kids have made their way to Red and Kitty Forman’s basement. Netflix released the That ’70s Show spinoff called That ’90s Show on January 19, 2023. While Og fans were ecstatic to see Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) Forman, and some of the original gang back on their screens, fans of That ’70s Show also have some questions about the timeline in That ’90s Show. One of the biggest questions is how Jackie and Kelso have a teenage son in the reboot.

Ashton Kutcher says his wife and former co-star Mila Kunis refused to let him turn down That ‘70s show’s spinoff series, That ‘90s Show.
The new Netflix series, which premiered last month, was co-developed by That ’70s Show creators Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner and Mark Brazill, and Lindsey Turner.
It is set in Wisconsin and follows Leia Forman, the teenage daughter of That ‘70s Show characters Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon).
Kutcher, 44, told Esquire that when the pitch first came in for the duo to reprise their respective roles as Kelso and Jackie, Kunis told him: “You know, we owe our entire careers to this show. It doesn’t matter what the script is, we’re doing it.”
Kutcher and Kunis’s characters are married in That ’90s Show.
In a 2022 interview with Access Hollywood, Kunis revealed that she disagreed with the showrunners’ decision to have them end up together.

When it came time to reprising Kelso in Netflix’s “That ’70s Show” sequel series “That ’90s Show,” Ashton Kutcher did not have a choice. As the actor recently told Esquire magazine, his former co-star and wife Kunis refused to let him turn down the sequel project. Not even a potentially bad script would let Kutcher off the hook.
According to Kutcher, when the pitch first came in for the duo to reprise their roles as Kelso and Jackie, Kunis told him: “[She] goes, ‘You know, we owe our entire careers to this show. It doesn’t matter what the script is, we’re doing it.’”

Debra Jo Rupp is widely known for playing Kitty Forman on That ‘70s Show, the cheerful doting wife of Red Forman (Kurtwood Smith) and mom to Eric Forman (Topher Grace).

That 70s Show was that show from the 90s about the 70s. The series ran on Fox from 1998-2006. It centered around a group of teenage friends from small-town Point Place, Wisconsin.
The hangout for the teens was the Formans’ basement where they ate junk food and watched TV. In every episode, they sat in a circle, where it was insinuated, but never said, that they were smoking weed.

With almost 20 years since the last episode of “That 70’s Show” aired, Netflix has revived this instant classic from the dead. “That ’90’s Show,” streaming on Netflix, pays homage to the original – delivering a fresh yet nostalgic spin-off, where original fans will find something to like.
All of the same actors and characters have returned for the spinoff and deliver the same brand of warm-hearted, light humor that we once came to love. This is nothing short of a miracle, with even cast members themselves doubting the producers could make it happen, with Topher Grace stating in an interview – “It would be so hard to bring that crew together. For me, I’d do it if no one ever saw it. Just ’cause it would be great to hang out with them for a week or something.”

Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith aren't all that nostalgic for the past. The pair, who play Eric Forman's parents, Red and Kitty, on "That '70s Show," reprise their roles on "That '90s Show," which premiered on Netflix on Jan. 19. But according to the pair, they say that not too much has changed since it all began.
To start, Rupp and Smith look pretty much the same as they did in the original, which actually premiered in the '90s - 1998, to be exact. So does the classic "'70s" set - minus a few owls. In the original, "Kitty had 4,000 owls in the kitchen. I don't know why," Rupp tells Popsugar. "No one could ever answer that question for me. Maybe they needed to fill space, I don't know. But there were little owls everywhere, and they were creepy, freaky looking owls."
On the new set, the owls are gone.

This That ’90s Show review contains no spoilers.
Reboots of old shows are all the rage right now. Whether it’s a revival with the same cast members returning or a spinoff set in the same universe as a previous hit show, it seems the television industry is dead set on giving audiences a dose of the same medicine from the past. This is a dangerous trend for those who want a little more creativity on our screens, but it’s also comforting to see characters and actors from our childhoods, especially in a time with so much economic and health turmoil following Covid-19.
The latest in a long line of these modern takes on classics is That ‘90s Show. Using the same setting and bringing back various characters from the hit Fox sitcom That ‘70s Show, Netflix is hopeful that fans of the original era-specific comedy series will still...

"Hello, Wisconsin!"
It's time to face the hard truth — we are now as far removed from the 1990s as "That '70s Show" was from the 1970s when it first ran from 1998-2006. I'll give you a moment to pick yourself up off the floor after having to accept the crushing passage of time, but the good news is that Netflix is debuting their 10-episode, live-action sequel, "That '90s Show," early next year. The streamer convinced show creators Bonnie and Terry Turner to follow up with the Forman family after all these years, with almost the entire original cast returning, except for Danny Masterson (who is currently on trial and charged with three counts of rape) and Lisa Robin Kelly who tragically passed away in 2013.
The original series focused on Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and his friends, Donna (Laura Prepon), Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), Jackie (Mila Kunis), and Fez (Wilmer Valderrama) as...

One of the most beloved sitcoms of the late '90s'/early 2000s (if not of all time) has finally returned to the world of streaming, though it is very arguably not in the most convenient of places. "That '70s Show" used to have a home on Netflix for years, making it easy for millions of people to stream at their convenience. But the show left the service in September of last year. Now? It has found a new home on Peacock, the streaming service headed up by NBCUniversal and, ultimately, owned by Comcast.
As of September 1, 2022, all eight seasons of the show are available to stream on Peacock. The rub is that users of the service's free tier will not have access to Eric Forman and the gang's misadventures in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The show is only available for those who subscribe to the Premium ad-supported plan, or the Premium Plus ad-free plan.

The perils and plights of adolescence have long been a source of fascination for television audiences. That’s particularly apparent nowadays with Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Showtime, FX, and others vying for zeitgeist dominance with teen-focused dramas playing to a variety of creative strengths. As narratives have gotten more sophisticated overall across the TV landscape, it makes sense that the ways in which we look at stories about young people have also evolved. From “Never Have I Ever” and “Love, Victor” to “Yellowjackets” and “Stranger Things,” TV teens in 2022 are among some of the most rich ever written.

In what appears to be a Phase 4 tradition in the MCU thus far, The Guardians of the Galaxy are the latest characters to receive comic accurate costumes.
“Marvel Studios’ rag-tag band of misfit heroes are getting new comics-accurate costumes in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The photos, shared by Just Jared, feature Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill/Star-Lord and Karen Gillan’s Nebula sporting suits highly evocative of the Guardians’ look in the mid-2000s Annihilation: Conquest, which spawned the modern-day relaunch of the Guardians of the Galaxy in 2008 by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. Also spotted in the pics are a few new alien characters.”

That '90s Show will have some blasts from the past.
The Netflix sequel of That '70s Show has locked in Topher Grace as Eric Forman, Mila Kunis as Jackie Burkhart, Ashton Kutcher as Michael Kelso, Laura Prepon as Donna Pinciotti, and Wilmer Valderrama as Fez.
The streaming service broke the news Saturday, while also confirming the returns will be "special guest appearances," which likely means they will be back for one or two episodes.
Netflix also dropped a first-look photo of returning series regulars Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty) and Kurtwood Smith (Red), confirming that the highly-anticipated update is in production.
Valderrama previously addressed a possible return in an interview with TV Insider.
“I’m a little busy right now, but I support them so much,” said Valderrama, who starred in all eight seasons of the original series on Fox.
“I’m rooting for them. I wish them nothing but the best.
