The Shaitan & David director Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘Dange’ is a dark students’ saga set in Goa. The narrative is a cross between college students conflicts within and outside. Dange begins with a promising scene when a sloshed Zeel (Harshvardhan Rane) rushes to present his paper the 4th time, with great help from his friends but fails to make it even after standing in front of the professors due to his imbalanced mental condition.
Dange is primarily about Zeel and Yuva (Ehan Bhat) who were best (childhood) friends but one incidence sours their friendship; Yuva faces molestation and humiliation for which he blames Zeel, now his senior in the college. Yuva is deeply affected by the incident. There is also Gayatri (T J Bhanu) seeking justice for a young Dalit student who was raped and impregnated. Yuva and Zeel, driven by their own conflicts, eventually realize a greater threat when they overhear plans to harm Gayatri.

The 2024 film Saindhav is an example of how forced the plot twists in some movies have to be to keep the viewers interested. Such films have a target audience that likes to just sit back and be bombarded with mindless action and a little bit of sentimental drama, usually revolving around a father and his child. There is nothing inherently bad about this kind of chaotic storytelling, but it is just not my cup of tea. The story revolves around a man named Saindhav, who has to return to his roots of crime and violence so that his daughter can survive. Saindhav, written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, is made to provide fast-paced but simplistic action with no real depth at all, which is something that has taken over cinema screens in recent times.

Mumbai, July 28 (Ians) Family, love, differences between the couple and lots of drama have always been at the core of umpteen love stories. So what’s new about Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’?
There isn’t any, and yet there is some!
It’s so much that it’s ‘old wine in a new bottle’, and yet, there is a huge difference too. Besides the presence and the unique combination of veterans such as Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan, there’s the chemistry between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt that is easily the highlight of this nearly three-hour-long family entertainer.
And yes, there’s Pritam’s foot-tapping music too, though what the audience seems to be enjoying the most are some of the most popular Hindi film hits from the ’60s through the ’80s — these have them singing along loudly.
That’s not all that makes this film special.

This article discusses major spoilers for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."
Imagine you're an everyday citizen living in the biggest city in the Marvel world. You wake up, head out to grab some coffee, and make idle chitchat with your neighbors while minding your own business. Suddenly, you glimpse some brightly-colored figure swooping overhead and pay it absolutely no mind. It's just Spider-Man, likely on his way to save the day once again.
Every world in the Spider-Verse has its own spin on this typical series of events, from Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) in the Earth-1610 universe to Peter B. Parker's (Jake Johnson) Earth-616 to Gwen Stacy's (Hailee Steinfeld) colorful and impressionistic Earth-65. But while the broad strokes remain the same -- there's always a Spider-Person bitten by that radioactive spider, living in the big city, and protecting the people from all sorts of threats -- the details diverge in strange and unpredictable ways.

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu opened up on her first production venture, ‘Blurr’ in which she is seen in a double role. The actress got candid about why she decided to produce the film and how challenging it was to play twin sisters in the film.

Such is the crossover between film and TV that “Vadhandhi – The Fable of Velonie” is only the latest streaming series to find itself a prominent slot at a major film festival.
The eight-part Tamil-language crime thriller will upload to Amazon Prime Video from Dec. 2. But the International Film Festival of India will first give a special edit of the show a cinema screening on Nov 27.
With a title that means ‘rumors’ in English, the series is set in a small town where nothing is quite as it seems.
