The full name of actor KP Maurya is Kali Prasad Maurya. Often referred as 'Kaali' in childhood, he decided to preserve the name till date, adding Kaali to the popular name KP maurya .
To explore various opportunities he came to Delhi , as he was exploring got the opportunity to work under then renowned filmmaker Late Shree K Bikram Singh as his assistant, soon he joined Zee news as a correspondent as his interest in Art and culture was recognised and worked there from 1998 till 2002 . Meanwhile his talent was not bound to only this as he started his acting career in Delhi theater with the title role in the theatrical adaptation of Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi's novel 'Banabhatta Ki Atmakatha'.
He even got the responsibility to portray the legendary role of Shri Rama in Bhavabhuti's play 'Uttar Ramcharitam' with 'The National School of Drama' graduates. After acting in many plays with many Rangacharyas, he is now bringing alive various characters through acting in many productions on Film, TV and OTT platforms.
Actor Kali, who came into limelight with the role of Election Officer in Amazon Prime's popular web series, has been appreciated by the audience for many of his characters on the OTT platform. For now his acting journey continues.
