Richard Cook(II)

Richard S. Cook was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He studied Art at the University of Cape Town, went on to a career in Theatre & was appointed Resident Designer for Drama at the Performing Arts Coucil, (P.A.C.T) To date he has designed sets (& some costumes) for over 150 Drama productions. During the heaviest part of the Apartheid regime, he decided to emmigrate to Canada in 1979, & now lives in Vancouver. He continued to work in Theatre, but turned his focus to Film & TV as the industry grew in Vancouver. His TV Series credits include 5 continuous years as Art Director on Highlander (1992). In recent years he has also art directed & production designed many TV commercials. Throughout he has continued a passion for painting & drawing, & has held several successful exhibitions of his work. He travels extensively, & holds Canadian, British & South African passports.
