Alexis Perkins is a graduate of Columbia University's MFA program, where she was the
recipient of the Jesse Thompkins III Screenwriting Award. Since then, she has been
working as a freelance writer and producer in Los Angeles, most notably as a segment
producer and story editor for Big Brother on CBS. Alexis's feature comedy "Derby City"
won the grand prize in Final Draft's Big Break competition. In 2017, she was named to
the notable "Young and Hungry List" as one of the top 100 new writers in Hollywood.
She is the granddaughter of 60 Minutes commentator and author Andy Rooney.
